That's a pretty good take on the story. At first I thought this is where the intro would lose points at.

Didn't vote in the final, had no particular feelings towards either of these shows and the result was never in doubt anyway.

Still had a lot of fun. S3 not likely by then but hope I can get Kaguya to top 10 next time as well

Man, after that hot debut, I didn't think Kaguya would do even better, hoping it can maintain that level of strength going forward

I hope so too but I'm not that optimistic as Ark given it's a romcom, might make the finals, winning is much harder
S3 would be great, but it's already popular and I dunno how much it could still get boosted

In a sense I feel Kaguya is like Death Note in that you can kind of divide it into parts, but here the later 2/3 completely blows the first 1/3 out of the water.

Though Im talking about the manga and there isnt a clear point of transition

Kaguya S2 beated. What a fun ending credits sequence.

Absolutely demolishes the first season, which was already 10/10. So cleanly moving away from the standard Kaguya vs Shirogane stuff to more involved entanglement and broad stories was fantastic. Just a complete slam dunk from start to finish. I am strongly against considering sequels for AotY, but it's tough not to at least have this in the running for the first half. It really held nothing back.

That last bit seems to imply they're pretty confident in a season 3, too, which would be excellent. I REALLY don't want to move to the manga, because it's just not gonna do anything for me.

The best thing about this season (or the corresponding parts of the manga since I read that first) is how it gradually toned down the mind games. It was a interesting premise at the start but it would just get repetitive if it goes on forever, and the mangaka isnt afriad to shake things up by giving time to characters like Ishigami.

Some would say there is no progress for the main couple but having less battles does show that they are getting closer now.
