1. Realize that it is possible to criticize Biden without supporting Trump.
2. Realize that all the things the Democrats want you to believe will happen under Trump (and certainly will, I'm not denying that) are currently happening right now.

This is either ignorance or bad faith. You're pairing something Biden does have control over (military aid to Israel) with something he does not (abortion rights, LGBT rights, etc). He can't do much about the latter unless Congress works with him to do so (they won't because Republicans control the House).

In paring the two, you're either inadvertently (ignorance) or knowingly (bad faith) creating a false dilemma. Divorcing America's ongoing support for Israel's campaign in Gaza from domestic issues creates gray space in which more nuanced reasons for voting for Biden exist.

On his way out the door after giving remarks about the protests, Biden was asked if there was going to be a change in policy. His one-word reply was "no". So expect the IDF to continue using American bombs to kill innocent civilians in Gaza.

I teach in a university theatre program. In my first year, we produced a play (that was not a comedy), in which one white character told another white character a racist joke. The joke did not contain any slurs, but it was clearly making fun of black people. It was not played for a laugh. The playwright's intention was to show that the person telling the joke was an asshole.

That context did not matter to several black students who saw the show and were upset by the joke. It turned into a small shit storm, and we received many angry emails and phone calls about the show.

tl;dr "It's okay that they're saying racist stuff because them being racist is the point!" doesn't hold up with the people who are being joked about
