What worries me about Mario Kart is if it's backwards compatible they'll get lazy again and just ride the storm of Deluxe for a few more years.

That's exactly what a lot of people here don't get. Gamers will know most characters but it's the general public that swings it. Plus the UK was always Sega and Sony territory back in the day.

It's 3/4 in a format that makes sense.

I tried levelling everyone equally in Persona 3 and it was a nightmare.

You're pretty much forced to use everyone in FFX unless you wanna spend ages chipping away at certain enemies in fights.

I haven't played either but Rebirth looks a hell of a lot more fun than being stuck in Midgar for a full game.

First half is better than the second but it's still a great film overall.

Atlus used to be against PC until Sega made them release Catherine and P4 on PC. The sales did the talking.

Good thing it's just DLC and not a new game. I mean they'll probably still to a complete version but at least day 1 buyers can just get this instead of buying a full price game again.

The Distant Worlds version of Fishermans Horizon is incredible.

Might depend on the venue and country. The first time i went it cost me 37 at the Royal Albert Hall with good seats. This was in 2011.

I went to the first 2 they did in London. Was cool being in the crowd with the legend Nobuo Uematsu for the first one.

Late to the party on this one but been playing it up to were you can walk around freely. The only thing i don't really like is the time limit in battles. Been a few times where i've barely managed to clear a level. Other than that it basically just feels like a mash up of Valkyria Chronicles and Fire Emblem. Doubt i'll buy it day 1 but will probably pick it up later in the year when it drops in price.

If your PC is pretty weak and you've already thrown money at it then it might be worth getting a PS5 for games. That said i wouldn't buy one just for one game.

Only ever buy the cheap microsoft/logitech ones with the classic 2 buttons and a mouse wheel. Never had an issue with them. I always thought having buttons on the side would be annoying to hold.

Well done Gamespot putting 9 near the bottom. Never played 6 but as far as FF ranks go this is decent.

I wouldn't recommend using your discs on an emulator as it's pretty laggy. If you wanna use a disc just play it on the original hardware.

These games always tend to drop like a stone in price. Gaiden is only 3 months old and already had 2 sales.

For the people who were upset about the Unicorn Overlord demo only being on Switch, it's coming to other platforms on Friday.

No idea what the point of a 24 hour exclusive demo is for but at least we're getting it on Playstation.

Well that's stupid.

The one thing i had any interest in and it's not even getting a demo on PS5. Anyway the direct was trash although i wasn't really expecting it to be good to begin with. The next console is a massive elephant in the room at this point so they can't really win until they just announce the thing.

I mean it technically wasn't but Mario Kart 8 Deluxe came out like a month after the Switch which is close enough to the window for me to consider it a launch title.

Even then it was just a port. If we hadn't have had that DLC i'd have said MK9 was pretty likely as a launch game.

Yeah it's amazing how good PS2 games look upscaled on PC. They basically look like PS3 remasters.

Dark Souls style games are the ones i wish would die off. Great if you're into that stuff but pretty much everything these days is a clone of it.

Them saying we're entering the latter stages of the life cycle is pretty crazy. I got my PS5 November and have hardly touched it. It's starting to just feel like a PS4 Pro+ at this point. Wish i'd just stuck to my original plan and upgraded my PC then waited to see what the new Nintendo system looks like.

Would be good to give the miis a custom final smash as well. I mean we have P3 and P4 mii skins why not allow them to use Joker's FS

It's the best selling Atlus game on Steam as well i think. To think Atlus didn't want to put their games on PC.

8 remake doesnt seem like it wouldve been more work than a 7 remake so that just feels silly to me. 8 is the remake I wanted most before they even started remakes.

I dunno FF8 has basically 1 full disc more content than 7. The final disc in both games really didn't have much on it.

I'd love them to redo 8 with a less broken battle system. Just don't touch 9 as that is probably the worst one i've played.

To me Smash has been pretty much the same game since Melee when they added that extra special move. The thing that makes it better is the roster getting bigger and better each game. If they gut the roster it's gonna feel like a massive step backwards.

I agree i'm not really sure what they can add to Mario Kart going forward but at the end of the day the online in Mario Kart is always a blast and makes up for a lack of characters or tracks. Although i've always thought Mario Kart was the better series so that's the angle i'm coming from.

Shot themselves in the foot going all in with Ultimate. They did the same thing adding so much stuff to MK8 but Mario Kart can get away with going back to 16 new 16 retro tracks. Smash downgrading from Ultimate is gonna suck no matter how you look at it.

They'll get loads more money selling stuff to PS5 owners at full price when the Xbox/PC stuff is already on sale.

I still consider it the best game in the series. The online was amazing and had loads of fun playing with people from Gamefaqs. Not played it in like 13 years though so it could feel a lot different to go back to now.
