I agree for chicken breast. I prefer the texture, and you know that you are getting a solid piece of actual meat, rather than potentially low-grade stuff padded with fillers. On the other hand, a chicken patty is the worst of both worlds.

There's such a thing as single-stream recycling, where everything is mixed in the truck, and sorted at the recycling facility. That's how my city handles it.

Just throw in a separate SSD (SATA or NVMe, doesn't matter) and install Linux to it and try it for every non-gaming task. To be simple, grab the latest Ubuntu LTS which should be 24.04 at this point I think. Get a decent drive like a 1TB Crucial mx500 or similar. For good measure make sure your Windows drive is unplugged when you install Linux to your new drive.

How fast is the switch? Is each OS hibernating in between or rebooting? In my particular situation, even if it was fast, I wouldn't want to lose certain network connections for quick gaming break.

When you buy blueberries (or any berries, or any fresh food, actually) at the supermarket, read the clamshell to see where they came from. If it's far away, you know that they are going to be a variant selected for ability to survive shipping over taste.

If you use Win 11, please explain the point of File Explorer tabs. I don't get the hype. It seems less useful than WordPad. Isn't it better to see the contents of multiple folders at the same time? Can you drag files between tabs? Can you drag the tabs out into their own windows (like web browser tabs?).

I've gone to all of them (they are held at five-year increments), some of my siblings', and all of my wife's (different school; also at at five-year increments). They are usually held at nice places (or with good catering, if held at the school), and everybody has chilled out and become friendly (or stays away).

You shouldn't call clothing vintage, anyway; that term refers to wine made from a vineyard's grapes of a specific harvest year.

I believe that outside of wine, "vintage" is a term of art that means "old but not old enough to be antique".

You wouldn't call vintage clothing "retro" (only new clothing inspired by old fashions is properly called retro). A classic car is never "retro", but a new car can have retro styling. But software is ephemeral. You have to "create" it in RAM to run it. This is why "retro" can be used to describe old games: You are recreating an old thing. Retrocomputing also refers to using very old hardware, but even then, there's the connotation of "bringing it back to life", rather than simply just turning on a slightly dusty PC.

That's not a super strong argument because dates and times already have discontinuities and exceptions. Having two centuries that are not 100 years is no worse than leap years/seconds or daylight savings transitions.
