Yeah, I got that email from Kickstarter this morning. Utterly tragic. Im glad he presumably got Eiyuden Chronicle wrapped up beforehand, as that game will basically be a tribute to him now.

RIP Mr. Murayama. Whatever happened to those Suikoden remasters anyway?

Konami will release them around the time Eiyuden Chronicle comes out to try and cut into its sales, most likely.

Seriously. This is really sad. When I play it, it will definitely feel like that. It makes me really glad I got a copy.

It feels like it's going to be hard for them to do that at this point. His tragic death is going to help sales, not that It wouldn't have been better for him to be alive and sell well. RIP.

I'm fucking devastated. I read the news before I went into work and cried a bit in my car.

To this very day I've been replaying them games (Suikoden V right now) or watching some let's play on YouTube (Just finished a S3 lp this morning)

Eiyuden Chronicles will be tough to play, I imagine he was sick as he was developing this game and some of those real moments about life, death, love and friendship will be hard to read and play through. But I cannot wait for it.

RIP

To me it seems less like to cut into Eiyuden's sales and moreso to capitalize on the popularity of the "genre" coming back so they can get the most sales out of it. Since evidently Konami forgot lots of people loved the Suiko series since V.

Seriously, if Eiyuden doing well gets me a remaster of III and/or V, I'll consider it a great success. If it can manage that while still keeping its own IP popular, then even better.
