Yeah, Amagitaro has a lock on Catria's design unfortunately. Not to say his designs are bad, but I prefer her Echoes look because she looks much more mature, and it fits her voice better. I still have yet to 5* any of the Askr Trio. I don't even think I 4*ed Alphonse yet. So I really don't care for them. The comic last week did sort of hint at Sharena getting a seasonal outfit heh.

I've 5*'d Sharena when the game started. She did a lot of good things for me.

She's been powercrept for a long while because it's been a year, so it's understandable. But yeah it took too long for her to get a costume

Also she has boobs. How's she hiding those in her original armor anyways?

That's debatable. I still don't think Poison Dagger ever got fully powercrept and is still my personal best dagger pick. That or Felicia's but Felicia being garbage is the biggest weakness to that one

Poison dagger is weak because infantry units aren't that common due to the surge of good flying, cav, and armor units. Armor units especially because high up in arena teirs armor teams are really common.

Poison dagger is good against dragon teams which are pretty frequent nowadays and Tactics team. I know Tactics team isn't that common yet cuz there's still no speed tactic but there are a lot of Dorcases and Ayras and now Falchion users with their fancy buffs that Poison daggers are good against.

Yeah it has always been a situational weapon, but sometimes being able to hard counter stuff brings more overall value because you don't have to worry about those units.

Personally though I never had trouble with Armor teams because I frequently use Genny with double Savage Blow :P. So I guess personally I don't even consider them a part of the discussion as a habit

It's not really that good into dragons. Lightning breath gives +5 hp and counter attacks weak defense. Then any good dragon running steady breath. It's a lot harder for poison dagger to 1HK0 with forges giving hp.

In my experience with my +atk kagero. Nowi is hard to kill without special up due to her high def and high hp and can pretty much 1 shot kagero due to her weak defenses.

God I hate the dragon refines so much. My Deirdre used to have no problem walling them, then they could now target the weaker defense and Deirdre has the physical defense of toilet paper. So it's basically kill or be killed with her. They need to buff Divine Naga to prevent targeting of her defense stat. That's ALL I ask.

And I saw a build for H!Sakura using:

Kagami Mochi
Glacies
Flashing Blade
Some B skill
Some C skill
Speed +3 (I think)

With her speed boosted to the max, Flashing Blade would ensure her a +2 charge when she attacks, and if she doubles and they counter, she'll counter with Glacies. She ensures a death every battle she duels in. It gave me a better appreciation for daggers.

But Felicia's Plate is the best. That weapon is stupid, always targeting the lower defense.

The three legendary daggers are all pretty good. They bring something unique to the table.

The problem is all the good SI daggers are limited banner units. So unless you pull them during their special you pretty much have to hope you get one of the 3 units with a good unique dagger. Granted felicia is easy to get.

I would love to build a good dagger unit and I do have my kagero, but with the increasing stat totals and refined it's becoming harder for her to kill things on first attack.

I completely forgot about Sothe's and Jaffar's daggers. They're definitely good. But I do agree that the inheritable daggers really lost their place in the meta.

I suppose her being a whole year old certainly helps her be outdated somewhat. It does irritate me how good Nowi is in general. Personally I don't do +10 arena because I play this pretty purely f2p (which means I haven't gotten a chance to try the unique daggers to really get why they might be considered better than poison dagger). I've tried Jaffar's and wasn't too impressed, though decent in its own right and way too pricey... Sothe's looks good, but I also thought Jaffar's was gonna be decent til I tried it for myself. Just from experience, I always found Kagero's niche to still outvalue the things the other daggers can do. Like I would still use her occasionally but never the other dagger users

But it also kinda feels like due to the ever increasing stat totals and units being tankier in general, daggers as a whole are already powercrept.

I'm f2p and I don't have any +10 units but I still am able to run in T19/T20 arena.

Daggers were never good. Kagero was only good, because she actually had an atk stat and at the beginning of the game 90% of the units were infantry and infantry had the best score potential outside of armor units. Which no one ran armor units due to them being 1 mov locked at the time. Also Kagero had decent res and bow units were also in a pretty poor spot and DC units weren't prevalent so she didn't have to worry much about being killed on counter.

After SI came Kagero was still good, because she was a great counter to vantage Takumi due to being able to 1 shot him and could replace her skills which were really bad. Hector and Effie starting to show up due to Hector being a good candidate to run vantage and Effie with brave lance could kill anything and didn't have to fear being 1 shot herself due to wary fighter. And assist skills could help move them closer to battle.

Kagero fell off with the arena changes and horse emblem appearing. Plus brave bow appeared at this bow and bow units starting picking up steam for a physical range unit.

Kagero just can't do much now, because there are ton of DC weapons which kill her due to her low hp and def. Infantry units are not that common outside of dragon teams, because you are no longer heavily punished for using other mov types in arena.

@Tmaster148, may I ask your team for the arena? I'm running Lilina, Ephraim (interchangeable with B!Ike if I decide to run Raven tome Lilina), and F!Corrin as my main core. I'm probably at least a 100 points off from having enough to get into Tier 20. So I'm stuck doing the Tier 18.5 dance, which is good enough for me.

Looking at your team and back at mine, it's quite easy to see how I'm not up there yet. I don't bother with merges, and I still have a lot of filler skills, especially in my C skill slots. I do have a Distant Counter to give to my Corrin, but I'm not keen giving him up just yet, not when Myrrh's also sitting in my barracks. Plus, my team sorely needs a consistent Dragon killer, i.e. a Nowi killer. Ephraim is only there to buff Lilina so he's barely in a position to tank. And Corrin can't double and kill her. When I went back down to 18, dear God, this past week was awful, Dancer/B!Lyn/Rein was everywhere. My B!Lyn counter used to be Lilina until I went with Blade tomes, so I had to swap back to TARaven and consequently Ephraim was swapped to B!Ike (Reposition/Vantage/Some C skill/ QR seal). Sheesh.

You can't stack negative mods. Anyways reinhardt would probably prefer an ally bring chill res rather than give up lancebreaker.

Thats what makes Chill Res so dangerous. Rein can have his cake and eat it too. He doesnt have to choose between Lance Breaker and Chill Res.

And you sure about that? I recall you cant stack buffs but can stack spurs. For debuffs, Ive seen screenshots of a character with -11 debuffs on the same stat, unless you mean if 2 characters run a Speed Smoke skill, speed smoke wont double up.

Debuffs work exactly like buffs. The highest debuff is the one that is applied.

Yeah I've stayed in T20 once in my life I think. Usually just teeter between T19 and 20 and almost always get a perfect run every time unless the bonus char screws me over hard.

Ninian +4 with refined Light Breath, DC, flex B

Genny +2 with double Savage Blow and Gravity

Fjorm +4 with base set pretty much

Flex, but I have like a +8 Roderick with Firesweep lance who is something like a more resilient Reinhardt, and a +8 Raven. This is usually where a bonus char goes though, and I use a +2 Ayra too

I usually need to be able to use a +8 to stay in T20.

How often do you have Ninners attack and proc the Light Breath buffs? I know in discussions, a lot of people downplay that strategy because she's supposed to be refreshing, not buffing. But when I use her, there are always opportunities when it's worth it to attack.

I usually use it for her own survival. Basically, if there are 2 mages in range to attack her, she has a high res, and I have the summoner support on her, so she survives the first wave and pretty much doesn't take damage from the 2nd wave of attack (and usually gets the kill on the 2nd wave of attack due to the massive buff). It takes a bit of calculation

But if there is another ally in range, it's an added extra bonus. Enemies attack Ninian first more often than not.

Also there's the fact that Light Breath has 1 more attack than Lightning lul
