I saw the video, those guys sole job is to protect the senators and the ballots, these guys were actively breaking into that room with those people there and as soon as she tried to breach in they shot her, the rest of them backed off after that and only got into the room once the senators and ballots were safely in another location. They did their job. if they were the DC police they would have let them in the room maybe even helped them burn all those ballots.

Good god, can you imagine the chaos of all of the ballots being burned away? GOP would claim they only burned some ballots and that the rest should be counted with it suspiciously turning out that the salvaged ballots were for Trump. I still can't believe that even having an angry mob sent after them and the vice president, the GOP still stood behind Trump last night and tried to fight for him in the House, first they give all these "lets come together" speeches in the senate, then they go to the House and it's nothing but "Antifa was behind today's attack" and "This election was stolen but we gotta do it anyway" What the fuck, what does it fucking take for them to stop supporting this guy? Imagine if Trump got what he wanted, the traitors breach, kill the senators who they view as disloyal to Trump including republicans like Pence, Gram,Cruz and Mcconnell, would Gatez still say it was Antifa?

Terrorists were breaking into the political heart of the USA and threatened the lives of everyone inside. Should they just have let the terrorists break in?

Im not American but shots getting fired in this situation was 100% the necessary call.

She had a back pack after other bombs were already found climbing into a window of a protected area. What should have been done .

The one who shot made the correct choice, but it did not need to happen. Many failures of de-escalation happened prior starting with Trump and Republicans....its sad they let their self serving motivation led to the death of this woman.

Not sure how much more clear I can be. I 100% get why she was shot. I do not think the officer was wrong for shooting her. Her backpack was not filled with bombs, so it turned out that it wasn't actually necessary to put her down. There was no way of knowing that at the time.

Like... I don't really want anyone to be killed, but while I never gave it a lot of thought, I always sort of assumed that once you crossed a certain threshold in an important government building like that where all of congress and the senators are, that they would just gun down everyone. >_>

Was it necessary? I honestly don't know. I do know the people who stormed that capital are the same ones who support the castle doctrine and defended a man who executed teenagers who broke into his house, so I assume the same thing applies here. To them standing your ground means chasing down a black teen until he feels the only option left is to fight back and you get to shoot him. Unarmed black people get shot and any outrage is responded with back the blue, blue lives matter, let cops be cops. If these things can be defended, I think storming a building like a pack of hounds can warrant lethal force. We have photos of what happened inside, people were scared for their lives.



That woman is scared shitless. There was a former army ranger there who said he hasn't had the feeling he had yesterday since his days back in Afghanistan. The real answer to the question being asked is that there was no right answer. If they truly feared for their safety, and there is enough evidence to support that, then there is only action and inaction and reality is both options will have someone saying they are wrong. I know some on the far right are saying the woman was executed, but that's nonsense. Every action has a reaction, you back someone into a corner to the point that they fear for their well being, this is always a possibility.

I think it was justified in the immediate circumstances, but it should never have gotten to that point. They should have handled the mob better outside the building.
