So anyway, I'm just entering Lostwing. I'm having enough fun with the gameplay, and the moment-to-moment dialogue is pretty nice.

I stopped after the second playable Ifrit section, but I plan to play a ton later today/night.

I got the bit where I'm about to leave the Hideaway. Will continue when I get back from work

that's where I left off. Will be playing a bunch more this weekend.

I'm enjoying it so far.

I won't spoil what's happening where I am in game, but PS5 shows I'm 53% done with the story about 20 hours in or so.

I played the demo and that was it so far. Gonna dive into the real deal tonight!

Tag, only 2-3 hours past the demo but I'm loving it so far, hope to get some good playtime in Sunday night.

FF 1, 2, 3, 5, 12, 15 and Tactics all featured main characters who could use different kinds of weapons (Along with the MMORPGs of course). So really, about half the series do.

Is anyone else finding the timing windows for evasion really arbitrary?

so many times during the Benedikta fight I would press the button only for nothing to happen.

I did buy a new fairly long HDMI cord and Im wondering if thats thrown it off or if the game is just a bit screwy. I didnt really have this issue with the rest of the game so far

Reached the point right before the Benedikta fight from the second part of the demo... Honestly surprised to get there so quick...

Really enjoying it... Sadly I have to stop playing to sleep for work tonight...

Also glad I got the Deluxe... The steelbook is awesome and the cloth map is nice... Will definitely hang that in my game room...

I'm finally diving in now after owning it since yesterday and not being able to play it.

Yo I love this game. I'm not good at action games so it's just the right difficulty for me until I get good, and I have to say the music is utterly amazing. The way it changes in heavy battles to much more triumphant and even shifts back to the main theme, literally gives me chills. It's so damn hype.

I'm at the base now and about to do the first real mission. I'm definitely enjoying this greatly

I love that the pub is called the fat chocobo and that there is an NPC named spoony bard lol.

I gotta keep an eye out for more references.

Seeing the spoony bard cracked me up. Even in a grim dark world, little touches like that definitely help it overall.

Try mastering the perfect dodge skill. I found it MUCH easier to get them off once I did that.

Besides technical issues the only real problem I have with the game so far is that it's way way too easy. The only feeling that's actually happened to me is when I picked up a potion and I had full potions and it forced me to heal.

The Garuda fight was a challenge for me. I was basically out of potions at the end. I took a lot of hits because that enemy is so damn big and doing a lot. Was kinda hard to process some of what I was seeing

I like that one of the jobber enemies you fight is straight up using the moveset of Ninja from FF14. Like, it's the same damn moveset but in an action game. Took me a sec to notice but I kinda marked out at that

Yeah I've been having fun, but I also just took the healing potions out of my quick bar and refused to use them from the menu. Makes boss fights pretty fun.

I already have. It was specifically that fight and the other miniboss with the same powers

It's funny. I actually died pretty quickly, but after the Retry I basically downloaded the enemy and was precision dodging all over the place. Good fight though.

the game just does not look like final fantasy to me even slightly

and well the BS reason their are no PoC made me boycot it

I just finished with SPOILERS the Sanbreque Empire section and shattered the Mothercrystal after discovering that Joshua is still alive. Now I have Ramuh at my disposal and I'm in the new hideout.

Yeah, this seems like a real issue. Haven't died once yet and I'm a good chunk into things.

Also, the side quests so far have all been talk to this person, collect this thing, fight this mob. Nothing super interesting in terms of gameplay and not really expecting that to change at this point. But the best ones are those that flesh out the world in a meaningful way. For me so far, those would be the two that appear near Bigot Village right before Sanbreque because they really show you just how much the Branded are reviled and disrespected, and make you wonder if this world is really even worth saving.

I'm one hour in not having ever played the demo.

So far the game is really fucking good, I can't wait until the combat gets even better then it already is.

I just started playing, and Benedicta trying to act all sexy and the scene with her and Kupka, made me laugh.

I'm not criticizing the game, but that was super cringey.

So Arcade Mode can be a hoot, but it's basically "just do it again only this time you get scored" and it honestly seems like there are no in-game benefits to that, so there's no reason not to, for example, do Arcade Mode after you complete the game.

You're scaled down to the level of the area, but you do get all your Eikons. Was nice, for example, to be able to do half-stagger takedowns with the wind.

Still I feel good with a score of over 1.3 million on the Greatwood.

Once you unlock fast travel, you can teleport back to the Hideaway at basically any time to forge up.

Found a Vivi scarecrow which was a nice little easter egg.

I know I meant that the blacksmith hasnt had any new armor to forge for like 10 hours and I have a ton of materials.

What am I suppose to do with all this stuff if there is nothing to use it on? Lol.

This game is absolutely stellar. Just firing on all cylinders

I'm just past where the demo ended. Loving the game so far and can't wait to dive in again after work

He gets new stuff whenever youre forced back to the hideaway.

A lot of the Blacksmith is for Reinforcing not Crafting. Ive bought a heap of armour from Charon and then got it to +2.

I think Ive properly made one sword?

I just got access to Titan's Eikonic Feat and abilities which I've been looking forward to since the demo. Also did my first A rank hunt which which almost leveled me up twice. They've been pretty fun fights so far but still easy.

Tag, I've only just beat the Raven Knight dude.

I got sick basically immediately after playing on Thursday morning

Hoping I'll be ready to play again by sometime today.
