In the segment-by-segment, the show opened at a 3.12 level for Punk and John Cena in the ring. Cena vs. David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty lost 475,000 viewers, which is not good. A Mark Henry video, plus Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, Vickie Guerrero and Vince McMahon backstage lost 4,500 viewers. Kelly Kelly vs. Melina lost 128,000 viewers.

The Miz and all the Money in the Bank guys doing promos one-by-one gained 382,000 viewers, which is less than the top of the hour usually gets. Miz & R-Truth & Jack Swagger vs. Evan Bourne & Kofi Kingston & Alex Riley lost 274,000 viewers. Big Show vs. Ziggler & McIntyre with the post-match Mark Henry attack lost 281,000 viewers and did a 2.61 quarter, which is just dreadful. The final segment with McMahon, Punk and Cena gained 1,346,000 viewers, one of the biggest growth segments of the year, closing at a 3.50. It should be noted that going 16 minutes past the hour instead of the usual 5-8 minutes means double or triple the amount of time to both gain new viewers, and pick up the viewers tuning in for the next show.

So yeah, basically the Punk segments were the only things anyone *did* watch on the show

For what it’s worth, Colt Cabana, who Punk mentioned on the air again (leading to “Colt Cabana” chants from the Boston crowd), has told at least one promotion he’s worked with regularly that he’s not taking any more dates with them after next month. He also was involved in an injury angle that could write him out of NWA Hollywood. In addition, he did not sign an ROH contract. Cabana, Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli are the only key wrestlers who haven’t signed new ROH deals that were still being used. Hero and Castagnoli are still expected to be WWE bound even though they are advertised for the first ROH TV tapings in Chicago next month, as they are doing the pre-signing procedure of getting the full physical and having their backgrounds checked.

Between the Divas and the Knockouts? Not lately.

The difference isn't nearly as pronounced as it used to be, but it still exists, if only in how the company promotes and treats the product. Tenay and Tazz at least put over the KO division as good, even if it isn't. Meanwhile, Michael Cole interrupts divas matches by yelling about how nobody cares about them, which is probably the most CORRECT opinion he has given in months.

No, Cole is just a symptom of a larger problem. TNA at least TRIES to convince you that they respect the KO division, even if they don't. WWE doesn't even attempt to try and convince you that the divas matter. Cole is an example of that, but he is not the cause.

As far as this goes, it could just mean that he HAS finally signed his ROH contract, since they're looking for exclusivity amongst their top guys now just like WWE and TNA. It doesn't have to mean "what we think it means."

Also, seeing as how the next PWG World Title match is Castagnoli vs. Hero vs. Richards...if the KoW are going to WWE, we might just end up with Davey Richards co-holding the ROH and PWG Titles kinda by default here. Has that ever happened before?

Davey wielding as many indie belts as possible is something i fully support. and hey, if PWG wants some exposure on the coast that matters for all things wrestling, they friggin' should.

then NWA can give it to him too because he'd be the most credible guy.
and then Punk can fight him for the WWE champion- okay dreamt too long.

but it'd be amazing.
(and Davey getting the boost of his career would be fantastic considering the guy damn near comes out of every match dead and deserves it).

No, I don't think so. The only person that might of is Danielson, but I think he lost the ROH title before winning the PWG title. To be honest though, not that many guys have even held both titles period. I'm pretty sure it's just Davey, Danielson, and Low Ki, and Low Ki only held it about a month. Richards held the PWG title very recently but had to vacate it because he couldn't defend it, and now that he's ROH champ I can't imagine his schedule has gotten any lighter. It's pretty much impossible to defend one title in California and one title on the East Coast on a regular basis.

But the PWG schedule is still fairly light, and he's obviously still wrestling on their shows.

If it's a case of "We need to get the belt off of Claudio ASAP and our options are Davey or vacancy," I don't know PWG that well but wouldn't they pick Davey? Even if he just loses it the next time he defends?

Of course, depending on how quickly the process moves, even if KoW are already essentially confirmed as WWE bound, there might still be time to book them on one more show before the "deadline." I checked their site though and I don't see any future show beyond the next one listed.

To be honest, if Hero leaves PWG might have to fold.

Human Tornado and Scott Lost recently retired, The Young Bucks left (although they're presumably coming back), and Hero has pretty much carried the company along with El Generico for years. If Generico is ROH's TV champion heading into the tapings, I doubt he'll have a ton of time for PWG. Their cards are already filled up with the same 6 locals having the same match every show (though to be fair that's how The Young Bucks made their name, by wrestling The Cutler Brothers EVERY ****ING SHOW), so they're going to really be hurting trying to keep stuff fresh. They're even using Steen in two different matches at Eight.

They'll stay alive pretty much solely because they're the only promotion on the west coast and they still book great talent for BOLA and All-Star Weekend, but still.

They never announce more than one show unless it's a two night event. They literally book show to show based on who they can get to fly out, which is why they never have any actual storylines besides "Human Tornado is beating the **** out of Candace LaRae behind the scenes."

Do you guys remember when we talking about which wrestlers were born with great wrestling names (guys like Rick Rude, Bruno Sammartino etc.)?

Human Tornado is literally untouchable when it comes to wrestlers being born in (or residing in I guess) the perfect hometown. He is a black pimp who was legitimately born in the town of Hollywood, Alabama. I always thought it was a joke like when El Generico is billed from Tijuana, Canada (although I don't think they do this anymore), but Hollywood, Alabama is a real place and Tornado was legit born there and is billed from there (when he's not being billed from *****keeprunnin, Mississippi of course).
