This PPV could do huge buyrates, I could see it hitting Royal Rumble levels.

That gives them the opportunity to use the MitB matches to really help cement new stars.

How ironic that in attempting to bring the WWE to its knees, CM Punk is helping fortify the future of the company.

The Yankees thing is a little odd because Cena doesn't care for Boston sports, so it was just like "eh". But then "You might as well be Jeter!" was f***ing hilarious and all these years of being bored by CM Punk have washed away, he is great.

During the entire PPV they need to really sell the magnitude of this match.

I want to see neither guy interviewed, I want to see them both locked behind closed doors, prepping for the most important match of their careers, building the anticipation throughout the night.

I want Colt Cabana to be at ringside.

I want the match to play out with incredible tension on each and every nearfall and submission, and let both guys pull out all the stops in their moveset.

This is gonna be the best PPV atmosphere since ONS '06. Don't waste this opportunity to make eternal memories WWE. Punk doesn't need to win, but the ride needs to be breathtaking.

Dark match after RAW went off the air

1. John Cena defeated C.M. Punk to retain the WWE Championship. Victor said it was a really good dark main event. Halfway through the match, Punk got on the mic and congratulated Derek Jeter on his 3,000th hit. Cena fell on a television monitor while rolling out of the ring and appeared to land hard on his ribs.

Brent's report: The match lasted about ten minutes. Punk grabbed the mic and wanted to thank Derek Jeter for his 3000 hits along with thanking himself. Punk then shoved Cena's father at ringside which led to a punch from his father as well as an AA from Cena. Overall great Raw and Punk live is amazing.

The opening and ending segments were amazing. Henry bull rushing Show off the stage was good. Everything else just felt like typical PPV hype show #1432.

One thing I would like to see if Cena does indeed retain is for this entire situation to change Cena in some way. Maybe "scarred" is a better term.

I don't mean that he has to turn heel or anything, but having to navigate this toxic situation should harden a man. Give him a bit more edge. Develop his character some.

That way, even if Punk does leave and life goes on with Cena as champ, there's still some lasting effect from this. It would make this angle meaningful even with a lack of industry-landscape change.
