Skarner blows. Bad ratios and the range on ult sucks. It's worse than Singed's Fling and has ten times the timer and Skarner has no God Ult that allows him to be in the middle of things. Gragas ratios too strong. KOALA I MISS YOU AND LOVE YOU. Play this game. You'll love it. The best way to learn is to dive in and play different champs and learn what you like. When you find a champion you like play them Alot. Get good with them. Know their ins and outs. Save the IP you get for runes at level 20.

Orianna is considered one of the best casters in the game right now, but if you're springing for her, wait until the Talon patch notes come out. (Whenever that may be) Nerfs could come at any time. Her learning curve is steep, but not unbearable.

You seem to have a lot of fun with Lux, but I can't speak for her strengths. Like everyone except for, like, five champions, she's usable and credit to team. Nidalee is someone I know nothing about, but with her offensive options getting a buff, now's the perfect time to jump in.

Nidalee is not an AP caster.

She really only has 1 "AP caster" skill, and that's her Q - AKA the slowest skillshot in the game, outside of Anivia's Q (which at least goes through minions).

Honestly, I'd classify Nidalee as a support pusher.

Like really, getting MPen might be viable on her now, with the cougar mode getting buffed to 1.5 x strong as it used to be, but she's more like Jax than Lux, that's for sure.

You build AP on her, yes.

But that doesn't make her an AP caster.

Prior to the upcoming patch, her human Q, and her cougar Q, W, and E were all based off of AP ratios. But the cougar ratios were so poor (E's was .2, for instance), that her late-game scaling was very poor, with cougar mode.

So you'd spend 75% of the time in human mode, right?

W does almost no damage, and only gives vision when stepped on. It's a much much weaker Teemo shroom, with even an even worse AP ratio. So her spear was 90% of her magic damage.

Most AP casters have more than 1 spell, is what I was mostly getting it. But with her new and improved cougar mode, and weaker heal (which, IMO, was the main reason to get as much AP as fats as possible on her), she does more magic damage - but it's melee-based damage, and building hybrid on her is much more viable than building hybrid Orianna.

My main point was if you're looking for an AP caster sort of champ, Nidalee is not it.

also, my first sentence about AP ratios - all of her moves scale off of AP, but only those 4 deal reliable damage

human W also deals magic damage based off of AP, but it's so insignificant, and the only reason you lay traps around is as pseudo-wards and for decreasing the enemy's armor and MR

I...don't know.

He has no noticeable damage output. He gets out-laned by everyone, and has really low farm. In team fights, he ults and shields someone, and that's his entire contribution. The only time he can kill anyone is if they are already low. It's...bad.

He plays a really kick-ass Malz and Janna, and he's not bad with Anivia, but he insists on playing Orianna, until he "gets good with her."

I was surprised when people were saying she was broken, and that she's getting nerfed. I thought she was just a terrible champion.

I have a funny Orianna build that capitalises on her passive, but it works for me anyway.

Sapphire Crystal + pots -> Sheen -> Boots -> RoA/Level 2 boots -> Nashor's -> Deathcap -> Lich Bane -> Whatever

Orianna doesn't need any mana items more than Catalyst/RoA

All of her mana problems are early game stuff, and Catalyst takes care of that better than Chalice.

There are games where chalice is viable. Say, you're heavy mana burner vs. a caster w/ strong sustain. There are absolutely no games where chalice is viable after getting a catalyst.

ok yeah, old pounce is 3

man, I had never quite realized just how bad those tooltips were

morello's gives me 20% CDR; if I run 9/0/21 I get +3% and +6%, and from CDR glyphs I can get +5.85%; but I think I'd prefer flat AP (for a better level 1 heal, for lane sustainability). Morello's also gives +12/5 mana, so I think instead of rushing rabadons it would be better for me to go dring>boots>codex>rabadons>morellos>whatever. Early codex will definitely help with mana issues and such, I think.

At this point it just strikes me as silly to put any points in the defensive tree for her, even though before I went 0/21/9. Defensive tree gives 0 CDR, and the HP, armor, MR, and AP/AS bonuses just aren't worth it. I think I'll need to work on spears (perhaps not trying to always go for the 250% damagers).


Man I just want these changes to go live already so I don't have current Nidalee taunting me.

If you are a buff holder for your team, it absolutely is worth it.

Jungles rarely hold those buffs, even.

If you're going utility tree then there's little reason not to get utility mastery imhhho. Even if it's just to extend the baron buff and for the random time or three you kill a guy with a buff.
