I don't understand why people consider Brawl to be "trash" though. Hate is one thing, but that?

Also, about Super Metroid...

...I was perfectly fine with it losing to what was arguably the first postmodern video game.

...as was I fine with it losing to a fellow SNES titan.

...same goes for when it lost to a defining title of the current generation.

...and even though it was sent to its fourth loss, I was still perfectly fine when it lost to a fellow Metroidvania.

...but if it loses to a party game from 1997 that seems dependent largely on nostalgia...

...actually, I'd still be OKAY with it, but not fully. It would be only a little worse than OoT beating SMG2.

And even then there would only have been one truly abominable result all contest: SA1 > Civ4. Good god.

Ouch, SF64 got -thrashed-! (At least the better game won.) And SSB fell short of its victory, so that makes me 1-for-3 on that day.

I think Brawl is AMAZING and I do understand why some people don't like it.

People use their emotions too much. You can think a game is worse in everything to another game, but that doesn't make the game bad.
