Low number of voters today, for whatever the reason. Mario World is the top ranked Mario game now, LTTP hops back into the top 5 with its big win, the FF trio is knocking on the door to the top 10, MGS3 barely holds on, and Persona 4 gets back in the Top 25. All the weird results last week really seemed to consolidate the Top 25. Not many games outside of the Top 25 got a lot of support.
No matches today because the board is in the nomination craze so things are moving way too fast.

Weird but true: Through five voters, five different games had 1 point each.
Also, what a crazy ending there. FFIX receives only nine points from the last two voters combined after getting at least that many from each of the first thirteen (and only that few from one; twelve of them had it in their top 15), and FFVI makes up 20 points on the younger game to charge ahead after seemingly on the verge of being jumped. Meanwhile, RE4 was just 1 point shy of being a unanimous #2...and then the final voter puts it seventh. (Hey, remember when everyone was on my case about not putting Chrono Trigger #1 after everyone else had agreed that it was? I had CT up at #2 as early as Week 5 and never had it lower than third after that--and that was coming from not even being on my preseason ballot.)
I really want to hear lefty justify why he has RE4 outside his top 5, and if I'm not mistaken he actually dropped it a spot.

Ulti (in one of his Post-Contest Analyses): God of War turned a 5 hour deadlock into a total laugher Anagram: Oh God, Tidus and Yuna were involved?
If I had remembered to vote in time, I would also have put Melee in 2nd like lefty. So RE4 getting unanimous 2nd place would have required both of us to not vote for some reason.
Well, there's no reason to bother diagnosing Super Metroid's and Wind Waker's chances. Barring an epic collapse in conference play, those two will get in comfortably.

I'm having major computer issues (which is why I wasn't there to push SOTN into the top 21!), so BUBBLE WATCH will be on temporary hold, but don't worry, I'll provide mass analyses once these issues are resolved.

LeonhartFour posted... I think SA2's schedule has become so unprecedentedly pathetic that people are actually starting to root for the thing to succeed.
My opinion of both SA games actually rose a little during the contest but not much. Beating BioShock was all kinds of muck.
I actually wouldn't mind SA2 > OOT though!
Another thing I've learned this contest is that I shouldn't trust B8 to like the following kinds of games all that much:
-PC in general, especially strategy games -Games best known for their "atmosphere" (when the likes Silent Hill 2, Wind Waker, BioShock, SOTC, and both Metroids are putting on some colossal bombs, what else do I have left to conclude?)
Oh yeah and didn't SOTN fail to break 40% on this same opponent?
LOL. It would be such a garbage result if Aria of Sorrow won, even eclipsing any of Super Metroid's losses (pretty easily at that). Oh well at least it gives hope for a certain other game to pull off another Mario upset.
Yes, because clearly fluke results are a total impossibility. If you follow this thing at all, you'll be aware of the "anti-Mario" sentiment that flares up once every month or so. It quickly dissipates however and should generally be ignored.
