I was wrong, chapter 6's garbage still shows up in chapter 10 gold chest.

Currently maxing souls with Soma. If anyone here didn't know collecting the non-dlc souls makes Soma's souls more damaging.

Robe Decollete is easy. Just use Yoko in that stage.

Alucard doesn't have much purpose besides farming swords for Soma. Everything that makes him unique from Soma is worthless besides being able to move with Yatsuna +1.

And you should use Yoko to get Robe Decollete since Shanoa has a much bigger drop pool since she also can wear armors like breastplates and her own Valkyrie stuff that gets in the way.

Tip: Legion and Beelz are excellent sources for leveling Shanoa's Globus and Acerbatus spells (and anything else that covers a wide area).

Grando on the other hand will drive you insane. It hits once and costs 15 MP per cast, making it by far the longest grind in the game (and as a base game spell, it counts towards her stat growth).

Grando can at least be back dash canceled. Holy Water is the most annoying weapon to grind.

It's familiar yet different.

It's not about exploration like the regular metroidvania but getting to the boss and clearing it like an old school game with Metroidvania elements and multiplayer.

So I maxed out Puppet Master, Brauner and Death's souls before i maxed out White Dragon, even through I went out of may way to kill the white dragon in chapter 2 and 5 while grinding boss souls. And that's a 2 star rarity soul to boot.

Would anyone here have any reccomendations on good DLC souls for Soma? I've already maxed out R. Medusa, Fish Head, and Ukoback and am going to get Warg.

Fish Head, best soul in the game. This is the song the dev team was listening to when designing chapter 8.



Also R. Black Leopard and Q. Queen Medusa are really good souls.

R. Queen Medusa is awesome against the 3 Fuma mini bosses. Speaking of which, Oxocutioner's soul is supposed to be pretty good.

Head: Minverva Helm
Chest: Robe Decollete
Legs: Sonic Boots (still need these. Just using either Artemis Boots or Winged Boots for now)
Back: Bishamon Raiment
Accessory 1: Chaos Ring
Accessory 2: Apollonian/Artemisian Ring

I have a second Chaos Ring too if I wish to use it, but I didn't like how low my stats were getting replacing the Apo/Art rings for them.

Maybe, I haven't actually done much research on the hunters. In fact, the only hunter I ever tried to level up was Fuma.

He has subweapons like the hunters, his main weapon improves as his subweapons improve, and he equips the hunter gear.

Also Belmont armor depends on the stage and how much you like subweapons. Most subweapons aren't very good in chapter 10 and 11 so I'd go with Simon Gear on those chapters.
