Pitchers are creatures of habit. Even verlander wasn't 100% lights out. CC just got the worst of it, plus bad calls. And the '62 Mets had a worse record (barely), but it was the franchise's first year of existence, and they played in a league with three 100 win teams. The Tigers actually had time to put together a team and played in an extremely weak division (the 90 win Twins won it and the Indians also lost almost 100 games). Kinda sad it took that kinda wake up call, though I find it funny.
