Hey I was just laughing at the funny stat given the circumstances, I wasn't making any commentary on who the rainout favored!

Honestly you don't even NEED to beat up on Doug Fister to win. The way the Tigers bats have gone, Fister can pitch a 9-inning gem and still lose 1-0.

Of course I'm hoping they wake up, but I'm not expecting it!

I'm confident in your bats because, tired CC or not, you guys rattled him. I'm not confident in fister because I don't give a damn what you guys said last time we worked him out of the game and forced 6 runs off HIM. HE loaded the bases, not that relief pitcher, so that hit is his responsibility. We are 2-0 this season vs fister and he hasn't lasted more than 6.1 average vs us. We're at home, the fans are amped, the fences are on our side since we hit lots of homers and have better lefty sluggers. Fister isn't the problem. If the yankee bats are on fire like they were a night ago, we got this game. Fister isn't a good enough pitcher to worry me. If it was verlander I wouldn't give a damn how hot we were, I'd know the odds were against us.

But you guys are being normal fans and backing your boy, but he's picked on no name offenses all year. I don't care how many runs the royals scored, they're a bunch of prospects. They could phase out next year. He has yet to beat a really good offense. He's 0-2 vs us.

Avila has proven to not be a threat vs our lineup, Santiago had one lucky night, not scared of Kelly/Jackson either walks or strikes out, so limit the pitches that aren't offspeed get them down the middle. He's truly undisciplined still.



Kelly at 3b eh.... hah. Oh well, your speed man... you guys got a damn slow team. Jackson, Kellly........

we got granderson, jeter, cano, gardner, swisher. Multiple levels of speed.

Young has been in the field all series dude.

Kelly at 3rd/Magglio in Right Field will become Inge at 3rd/Kelly in Right Field late in the game if we can get a lead, which improves our defense a ton (but still doesn't make it great).

Although rumors persist that, should we make the World Series, in the NL park we'll be playing V-Mart at 1st and moving Cabrera back to 3rd base, his original position with the Marlins, just to keep them both in the lineup with no DH.

Long way to go to get there though!

I like the odds tonight though. All hands on deck for the yankees. Girardi has said CC is available for multiple innings, Robertson/Mo for 2 a piece, Soriano obviously Boone Long got work, hughes got work. The whole team is 100% ready. I love how Leyland is thinking down the future. It makes sense really, setting up a good ALCS.


I also like his press conference: You guys must love it here in the New York Media. first they win game one oh the tigers are no match for us, then we win two "oh here we go again its all over" then they win... game 4 and it's all "yankee stadium magic here we go baby"

all while he fist pumped in the game 4 part. Then he said "it's supposed to be that way"
