Here's how I see it.

The Host lives to entertain the audience, and while he has the power to win every match, he doesn't necessarily do so. And here is Ganon, a character most people want to see win.

But what is more entertaining for the audience? Just seeing their champion automatically win just because they want him to? If I'm interpreting his personality right, it seems more likely that The Host would draw this fight out, keeping the audience in suspense, but ultimately defeating Ganon. With the people's champion defeated, the payoff would be even more satisfying when The Host loses in the future.

stupid and basically almost all the GANON votes have zero reason aside from

Host summoning Wizard Daffy would be cool as both are casters (Ganon being the winner of a magic tournament so HOST summons a caster champion)

Host summoning Wizard Daffy leads to an epic magic battle between the two that would be interesting etc *plus give GANON a reason to actually use more than freakin SoN because Wizard Daffy would definitely counter

If Host summons Dimentio GANON basically gets ragestompd so Wizard Daffy is more interesting

Dunno why it being my argument is bad I mean it makes sense and somewhat nteresting compared to Host just flat out obliterating GANON

What else is there to talk about with the host? We can't repeat round 1 organically, and we mostly decided this round in the previous discussion, which was huge but also had a lot of "either he loses to Zero for lulz or he loses to Ganon for lulz".

His spells are Call Drunken Priest, Incantation of Conjure Barbs, Dexterity Deflection, Crafter's Blast of Earth, Unknowable Hex of Fortification and Viciousness, Rains of Force and the Elemental Sun of Nothing.

Ganon conjures magical barbs, BUT THE WIZARD IS UNDETERRED

He then lifts the magic infused earth and fires with an almighty blast. BUT THE WIZARD IS UNDETERRED!

He then summons a cloud of ancient power which rains down force from the heavens. BUT THE WIIZAAARD IS UNDETERRED

Ganon then chucks the almighty Sun of Nothing and destroys everything...well almost everything

FOR THE WIZARD IS UNDETERRED!!!!!

Calling upon the ancient powers of MPFC he banishes GANON and the Host

however he banishes Ganon first so Host wins before getting banished.

and thats how the match would go.

Except that the huge debates and high votes are a result of people basically coming up with BS due to the nature of the character. The Host's entire character in this contest is literally that you can vote for or against him based on whatever half-cooked retarded logic you can come up with, and you can't be wrong or right because basically everything about him is subject to interpretation in the context of MPFC. You can say that he'll think it's funny to win based on this, or that he'll think it's funny to lose based on this, and you can't be wrong with either. That is not interesting. That might get you high turnout, but it's completely stupid.

And no, that is not remotely how other characters work. With other characters you have powers and personalities and such that, even if you're just making a specious argument, it has to at least have some basis in reality. With the Host, no, you can just throw all that into a giant dumpster and say "he wins/loses because it's funny". What is that? That is nonsense. You want to say it's led to high turnout, sure, but it sure as hell wasn't interesting to watch.


Except if this is what you think, you (and like half of the people who voted for Zero last round) totally forgot about that long-winded explanation on how The Host operates. I don't blame you though, understanding a difficult concept without a tl;dr bottom line is kinda hard.

I am 'misleading' because what everything I write is author-approved speculation. What we have seen of The Host canonically is two things:

A) He manipulates everything and casually takes any attempts at overthrowing his authority in stride, before harshly (but nonfatally) punishing the poor bastards who tried to overpower him.

B) When faced with someone remotely on his level, he still clowns around because he's STILL miles ahead and displays a spectacularly powerful powersuite, before calling a ceasefire because "I don't feel like blowing up my multiverse or killing one of my creations".

Basically, if you assume he's taking an MPFC battle at all seriously, he bulldozes his way through every last match. If you assume he's taking it like a game, much like he did with CC, he is going to challenge his opponent...much like I explained in Round 2.
