Workin on dat MGS3HD platinum. Just got to The End

Don't know if I'm going to do Hero Mode in Skyward Sword or not. Loved the game and easily a top 3 Zelda game, but I dont' know if I want to replay it so soon

Got back to Deus Ex finally. Just got myself to Paris. This game got so much more fun once you get the laser sword in China. I wish someone would have told me that earlier because I was literally 30 minutes away from it when I had stopped playing it.

Might make Mass Effect my next PC game after I'm done with DE.

Gotta do my best to finish up beating 3D Land with Luigi today to unlock the 8-Crown stage so I can complete it because tomorrow is Mario Kart 7

also officially ended my Xenoblade playthrough (which was literally minutes before I set foot in Prison Island) and will just be waiting for the US release and replaying that from the beginning

SE's Production Dept. 1, the department that works on Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts, is making a PS3/Vita Action RPG, apparently.

"PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita are the targets for a new action RPG from Square Enix's elite 1st Production Department, the group that makes Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. A couple of job listings mention three points about the game:"

* Hardware is Vita and PS3
* Genre is Action RPG
* Development Engine is Unity

"One listing is for a planner to do work related to player character growth and customization, including job properties, ability properties, a growth system, and a customization system. Another listing, asks for planners to work on gameplay over a 3D field. The job consists of creating play elements for flying an airship over a world map, and planning gameplay for within an air ship, including things like inn functionality, customization elements and checking up on game progress."

did you guys see Vita is locked to one PSN account and you can't change it without nuking the system? it won't affect too many of us here, but that seems pretty lame. looks like Sony's locking Vita down as hard as they can after PSP and PS3.

I don't think that's too big of a deal. It kinda sucks, but I don't even make much use of the other stores on the PS3. I wouldn't expect Sony's systems going forward to be as open as the PS3 and PSP. Their competition locks their systems down, it offers them no real advantage, and it burned them hard through a number of exploits. Unfortunate, but what can you do.

Finished up Portal 2. Though it was pretty great all round, definitely a lot better than the first game. Need to try some co-op with someone sometime.

Yeah, Portal 2 is a big step up from the original. I'll have to go back and run through that again sometime. Also, we need to do co-op since it's better than the single player.


I finished El Shaddai last night. Short game (only about 6-7 hours long), but it was something else. I thought it would be more of an action game than anything else, but it seems split into thirds -- 1/3 2D platforming, 1/3 3D platforming, 1/3 combat. It almost feels like an RPG, even though it isn't one. The encounters aren't 'random,' but you can tell when a battle is coming up. Enemies aren't just always there for you to fight with. Cool experience.

what's lame about it?

in my case, I have my US account for my english PSP games, but I also have my japanese account for games I imported. This is important for games like Phantasy Star Portable 2 which use an activation code and I need to be playing on a Japanese account to even play the game at all.

I thought of Naughty Dog but then I realized that Uncharted 3 is barely a month old... They are talking about a game that is already somewhat playable. I doubt ND would be that far on a project already.

The slightly delayed 3DS firmware went live today, introducing the ability for publishers to sell DLC, 3D video recording, and more hats to collect also introduces what may be Nintendo’s answer to achievements and trophies: accomplishments.

So far, accomplishments are limited to the StreetPass Mii Plaza and have zero point value, but it’s not hard to imagine accomplishments eventually expanding into actual games.

Nintendo might be actually doing this? wow.

I've gotten up to the end green rail segment after the double boss fight after the part where there's bob-ombs falling and then there's the spinning fireballs. Couldn't avoid them all!

Ha, this is a crazy find. In Uncharted 3, there's a newspaper with mention of the 'deadly fungus' that has been mentioned in The Last of Us teaser screenshot. Wonder if ND has any involvement in whatever this game ends up being.

Played some more Outland. The City is pretty crazy stuff, tons of rapid switching between light and dark. Just beat that mini-boss dude where you have to use the slide to get under his shield and hit him.
