We didn't actually learn anything in that class, just pushed graphing calculator buttons and wrote down whatever the calculator spat out. IIRC, on the first day of DNE, Chris knew he was mafia but intentionally avoided going to the scumboard or learning who his scumbuddies were so that he could act natural. I think that's an acceptable strategic move (though I'd never do it myself).
