Well it's not really something you can 'disagree' with. John pretty obviously has the least depth out of almost anyone in Homestuck. Whether or not you care about that is another thing.

I disagree with him being the least-interesting character in conversations, at least. John is great because he's a perfect foil to pretty much whoever he's talking to at the moment. Part of his appeal is his interactions with the other characters.

The only times I've ever really liked Jade were the time she was losing her cool over Jadesprite and any time she's talking to Karkat, because I feel like those are the only times she actually experiences any sort of emotion other than "plucky". Also she makes a good foil for Karkat, not as perfect as John but still good. John's another character who I mainly like just because he's a great foil for Karkat.

I'm not sure about her not being "tested at all"! She was built up through most of HS to be basically have it all- an actual usual strife specibus, a robot dream self, messages of what's actually going on, a guardian who's a giant teleporting dog, etc. I'm pretty sure Hussie was aiming for some stereotypical traits of "Mary-Sue" hood with her ('actually that word can't be applied to canon ch-' NOBODY CARES).

Then suddenly in the space of very little time she loses most of it- her dream self gets blown up, her magical laboratory gets totalled, her 'prophecies' desert her, she has to listen to Karkat and worst of all when she falls asleep she has to talk to the most boring troll how horrifying

Most of her stuff since then has been her stepping up and trying to actually do things herself without looking at weird clouds for answers. This has had... varying success, true (the predestination you mentioned being responsible for his biggest success till Dog Tier), but she did make a deal with echidna, deal with how pathetic and dog-like her younger ('by about 3 hours' it counts) self is and basically did something.

I'm not sure what direction she's going in now, though- she's been built up back to god status which doesn't really leave much room to become more self-dependent.

Reading through the FS.

Have you heard any of the fan voices for characters? If so, what do you think?

I've heard a few and some are pretty good, but honestly I have trouble listening to even good ones. For some reason none of the pesterlogs feel right to me as real dialogue. This is probably because they were always meant to be true to life chat logs, typed not spoken. If I were writing what was meant to be spoken, I would write quite differently.

I've actually kind of noticed this over the last few updates.

So I've way been over-thinking possible titles for Mom and Bro and I have a theory that Mom is the Hero of Rage.

This idea mainly stems from the fact that she has a substance abuse that's very similar to Gamzee's. If this is ends up being true it's possible the reason why scratched Rose keeps the booze at ready availability of her is to keep her from going off the deep end.

I don't see Rage as being used as an aspect for any of the other characters besides Gamzee, really. The parallel could potentially be there, but it seems like more of a "joke" title that is specific to him.

I'm thinking Mom will be a hero of Heart. Bro might be Void since there's a slight parallel between him and Equius. It also makes sense that there would be a Space and Void player in the session, for balance.

Time to go out on a limb: Mage of Heart for Mom and Rogue of Void for Bro.
