On the way to some place with my class, me and three others were sitting on a bench at a trainstation. I sat the most to the right. My friend who sat the most do the left started pushing us to the right side. Between the bench and the glass wall of this little box there was a pole. I had one leg on each side of that. If I was pushed further it would really hurt my groin. So instead of just telling them to stop, I decide to push back by placing both of my feet on the glass wall. But the second I start pusing that wall breaks. Some train officer or something got there about the second it happened, so avoiding this was not a possibility.

I have no insurance that covers this. This will probably be reported as vandalism, even though it was an accident. My teacher was there and saw it. That hopefully means that they'll believe it was an accident. I'm just not completely sure if that covers anything. But the thing is neither me or my parents have the money to pay what such a glass window costs, this would turn us over.

There are a few mistakes on their side we might be able to get away with this on.

First of all a glass wall like that should be able to take about 1 ton when placed in foot-high and meant to cover for storms (actually that glass wall really has no function in that place). Anyways this means that it wasn't in good shape to begin with

Secondly, she only asked for my name, while three others were responsible, and as we're not 18 yet, she'd have to get the name of the teacher there with us too.

Lastly, she asked about my CPRnumber. She may only ask for my birthday part of it.


I know that I should kinda just pay that and take responsibility for my actions (well maybe all four of us should), but again this would turn me over, such glass-wall is worth a whole lot of money.

Well that was pretty much my own opinion. It's purpose is to be hold back storms and what comes with that like hail, and I'm pretty sure hail would break it too. But there's a roof like 3 meters above and it extends to about 20 meters to all sides. The odds are very low that something would actually get in to that glass and break it.

An accident would be if you slipped while walking next to the glass wall, and somehow broke it. You willingly put your feet on it and pushed. Sounds like a no-brainer to me.

I had a similar situation in high school. There was a door that, even when locked, you could get it open if you pulled it hard enough. It had a good sized window in it and one time when we were trying to get in during a football game (to get a soda), one of my friends pulled it and cracked the glass.

We split it among all of us that were there. If your friends are bros they'd do the same.
