http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2121454/Quick-thinking-girl-10-traps-evil-paedophile-games.html

A 10-year-old girl trapped a paedophile when she used her games console to take a picture of him touching her. John Fisher, 46, was arrested after the brave youngster showed police the picture which officers described as 'indisputable proof' of his guilt. He was jailed for three-and-a-half years yesterday at Ipswich Crown Court.

The judge heard Fisher first touched the terrified schoolgirl when she was nine. She told her mother about the attack but nothing was done about it, the court heard. But the twisted predator attacked her again over a year later when she was 10.

Robert Sadd, prosecuting, said the victim's quick thinking prompted her to reach for her games console and use the camera on her Nintendo DS to capture the assault.

I am serious though.

If your child tells you they were hurt/molested and you don't get that s*** taken care of, you need to have your child taken away immediately.

I think killing those people would be appropriate too but you're right, that's just The Rapist Killer talking.

Move to a gas chamber if you think that letting your kids get molested is the same as "every crime."

Or just learn basic reading comprehension.

But the first way saves me from your posts so pick that one.

I'm sure they do but just think about it on a case-by-case basis.

If YOUR kid told you they were molested, would you give the benefit of the doubt to your kid and do EVERYTHING YOU POSSIBLY COULD AND MORE?

Or would you just be like "come on, don't tell stories!"

If you chose the second, you don't deserve life.

Some serious overreaction in this thread. The criminal should be locked in for a couple years for sure, but the girl isn't going to have her life ruined over some creep touching her inappropriately. She's going to feel a lot worse the first time someone breaks up with her, should her boyfriend be killed for that?

Seriously, try to explain in a logical manner why someone putting their hands un-violently on a specific part of someone else's body should be punishable by death.

*raises eyebrows*
Psychological trauma, revictimization, you know, stuff like that. It's not about "sex being worse than murder," it's about non-consensual sexual contact at a young age being pretty damn bad. Even the failure of her mother to help her has to have been pretty damaging. You don't have to be a prude to be against sexual abuse.

Society has blown sexual abuse to such high proportions, that when it does cause emotional trauma, it's seen as some ridiculously life altering thing, that ruins everything, and the person can never have any joy. And people are raised knowing this, and it allows them to point it out time and time again, and use it as an excuse for not moving past emotional trauma. It sounds cold how I'm wording it, but it's true.

The fact is, there are so many things in the world that cause "emotional trauma", and we are glorifying sex so much to the point, where it's the "ultimate abuse". But what about people who are bullied at school at a young age? People who are constantly spanked by their parents? People who were cheated on in a relationship? People who were drafted into military and forced to kill and watch others die? People who got mugged? People who have had their house broken in to? I could keep going on. All of these things would cause emotional trauma, but the one that involves sex is considered the worse. Why? Because it's what we were told when we were young.

But the US is the same country that constantly has people saying stuff like "Can I watch Rambo with my child, or are there any sex scenes in it?"

Did you read the whole post? The point I'm making is that there are so many kinds of abuse, and they all shape people. Some are more drastic than others. But why is the one that involves sex considered the ultimate? You avoided my entire post just to make a "crowd pleasing" jab, because everyone else was raised like you.

Why do others have to move past their emotional trauma, and just "get over it", but sexual abuse is a free pass for never having joy? Just reply logically.

Let's see...

The pedophile needs to be put away for a LOT more than 3 years for this. Sexual abuse CAN have consequences that last for a very long time. Just because the damage isn't "obvious" like a broken leg, doesn't mean it isn't there.

The "mother" needs to be put away, because no real parent would ever casually dismiss their child if they claimed they were molested.

To Arni: The mother shouldn't be put to death. The pedophile perhaps, but not the mother. She does need to be severely punished though for her failure as a parent.

To SanityLapse: I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt instead of just calling you a troll, and explain that while there is nothing wrong with sex there IS something very wrong with putting someone in a sexual situation when they do not wish to be, ESPECIALLY if that unwilling person is a child.

To Tak: Ok comments like that is why people don't like you. You have to understand that. I know culture shock and all that, but you seriously need to realize that your morals clash pretty badly with most of us here. Also, you seem to be unfamiliar with what is essentially rape can do to a person mentally.

But let me resist flaming you like everyone else and answer your question. Molesting a child can give them severe problems later in life. It's not like someone rubbing your shoulder, this is something no one has a right to do(excluding obvious stuff like parents washing a young child). Mental trauma can f*** you up for life. The child clearly did not enjoy being touched there, and someone older and stronger than her did so because she couldn't stop him. When a grown person robs the freedom of a young child, when they would risk giving them problems later down the road, it's only naturally to see no value in that person's life.

While heartbrake is painful, it is a natural part of life, and it is neither a crime nor robbing someone of their freedom.

That, Takfloyd_MkII_, is why most of the people of B8 desire the life of that man to be snuffed out.

also 3 and a half years for what he did, depending on the extent, is perfectly fine. the details aren't said but judging by the sentence and relatively light tone of the article he probably didn't amount to more than minor petting, and he owned up to the crime after being caught. yes, it's still wrong, but let's not go overboard and give the man sentences that you give to rapists and murderers. 3.5 years is probably fine depending on the extent, and i'll trust those who know the facts better.

I never implied there wasn't a problem with that. It's a big problem, that deserves punishment. It can cause psychological damage as you said. But there are so many things that cause psychological damage in the world. A lot of them aren't even things that are considered major issues by others, and they shape people the way they are, and give them major problems later in life. It happens constantly with so many things. The whole point is, why is sexual abuse, the one that is seen as the worst? Why is it deserving of DEATH in so many people's eyes?

The mother shouldn't be put to death. The pedophile perhaps

Oh, nevermind.
