I just don't like much about this song except for the funny parts in between and that doesn't have much bearing on the song. I don't like the point of the song and I loved the Jungle Book as a child. I tend not to like songs I view as pointless. What is a pointless song? I don't know how to explain it but I know it when I see it. This is one of them. It was a chore to sit through even though it wasn't exactly grating. Just not something that I would ever choose to sit through and as I watch the Jungle Book not something I am interested in. 94. Arabian Nights - Nominated by ??? So four people had this in their guesses for my top ten. That's pretty amazingly off if I do say so. Once again I'll say it isn't bad but it contains very little. It is very cliche sounding and it does nothing for me. There are much better opening songs (Some on this list, some not nominated that I would have put amazingly high) and this just is a flat song to start an amazing movie. I am genuinely curious what leaped out at people when they saw this song. Is this a big hit for most people or is there something about it that people think I am predisposed to? I knew people were going to be off base for a lot of the songs but this kind of puzzles me! 93. I-2-I (A Goofy Movie) - Nominated by ??? Three straight songs in someone's guess of my top ten. To be fair this was only FD whose narrowing process was particularly inept but that's not the point. Anyway this has about three lines that I really enjoyed and then nothing else. It just wasn't something that I could get into and between you and me (you being the entire board I guess) I don't like this movie very much. I understand this is supposed to be a crowning moment of awesome to quote tropes but I don't find it very awesome. Also I am not purposefully putting people's top ten guesses all in a row I swear. 92. Give me a Grade (Phineas and Ferb) - Nominated by ??? Horrible voice. Just, terrible. On the other hand the background was okay and while I haven't seen a lot of the show it amuses me enough for me to not totally hate this song. But that voice is amazingly awful. That kind of sums it up. 91. The World's Greatest Criminal Mind (The Great Mouse Detective) – darkx Okay so I love this movie and I love this villain and I love the message behind this song. What's the problem you say? It's barely a song. It has like 45 seconds of total song it seems like and then it just devolves into an actual scene. Now mind you the scene is awesome and the kitty is hilarious and all of that but the problem is that I am ranking songs. This is a poor song given how much not-song there is here. Well on a lighter note Ratigan is awesome and how he casually orders the minion's execution is awesome. That's what Disney does for a lot of their songs. Look at Lion King - African chanting and largeness. It lays the groundwork for the movie well. As does Arabian Nights. Unlike songs like Two Worlds and Belle, it does not tell you about the characters, but that's what One Step Ahead and Friend Like Me are for. Aladdin has such strong characters that introducing them at the very front would later hurt their appearances. And just listen to it. It sounds Arabian, which is what the movie is supposed to feel like (I'm not sure if there are Tigers and Monkeys in Arabia though). But yeah, it's expository in the same way Circle of Life is. That in turn makes it the most unique song from Aladdin (a hard feat). So it sticks out, people remember it, and people like it. Like I said I like it alright but then I forgot about it. I listened to it again and it made sense why I forgot about it, it is basically background noise for me. 89. Forceful_Dragon 04/24/12 3:55:00 PM #77:	First FD song is on the list, woo! 1 down and 3 to go. Also I like "give me a grade" in P&F if only because it's a song voiced by the actual character. They have other songs in the show where they characters appear to be singing but they have some generic voice playing instead and that irks me for some reason. Either have disembodied voices without them appearing to be playing/singing or use their voices since they are the ones who appear to be singing. But yeah I would not have suggested 'Give me a grade' if only because of Baljeet's noted "fail wail" voice. And while I nominated the song that I prefer from P&F (Deep into your mind) I think I probably should have nominated the rap song sung by Norm now. Dig a Tunnel (The Lion King 1 1/2) - Nominated by Emporer_Kazbar So this one just does nothing for me but it has brief moments of niceness and then it gets super dull. It is brief, which is a kindness, and it is from a movie that is so bad that they felt the need to put a 1/2 in it instead of calling it anything else. I don't care if you like the movie or not but I mean really now having a fraction in a movie title to denote it is not a 'big" release almost never ends well. If nothing else the characters are cute and that adds a little something, but yeah the Lion King has way too many great songs to have any sort of kindness for underwhelming songs! 87. One Last Hope (Hercules) – Nominated by Cokes Best thing about this song is the prelude when Phil gets owned. Basically the pacing of the song is pretty bad and the singing itself is very awful. This song has a lot of problems, primarily that it really overloads on different voices and paces throughout what is a relatively short song. Aladdin's parts are pretty cool when he is singing what amounts to the chorus but that's only a small portion of the song. I liked the comedy value of the video to go along with it but it didn't help that much considering this just went totally over the place. I can kind of understand how someone would like this song if they weren't very picky but I am picky as hell and this song does nothing for me. Unlike the song directly above it, One Last Hope, I do not mind sitting through this part of the movie though so I suppose this is another tier of song already. I told you these tiers would be going up fast. 85. The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh - Theme Song - Nominated by ??? This song made me smile and its relatively low placement shouldn't make anyone think that I dislike it. Actually if you think I dislike songs in this tier you haven't been reading my write ups and that makes me sad. Anyway theme songs for me are really hard for me to rank because I am a person who values length and a feeling of depth in my songs. Song meanings are extremely important to me in and out of context for me to be able to fully enjoy a song. That isn't to say that all of my favorites have some hidden meaning but many of them do or are extremely fun to listen to with no depth required. Theme songs are in this strange middle ground where they only can be carried so far by my general love of the subject and catchiness. This song is a great theme, but the series itself isn't one of my favorites so I had to cut it down pretty low. You won't be seeing some of the themes for a very long time though. 84. After Today (A Goofy Movie) – Nominated by Wigs. It deeply bothers me that the singing voice does not the match the character at all. I don't know how I figured that out based on a goofy character but here we are. The scene is pretty awesome though and the tune is catchy. Song feels very weird though and just doesn't seem to fit within the movie at all for me. I like it and all it just doesn't do anything special for me. There are no pop moments. It just comes and goes, and I can claim that it was an alright listen and know I am being truthful but I wouldn't exactly be missing much if I never listened to it again. The same could be said for all goofy movie songs, I suppose. 83. Theme Song (Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers) – Nominated by Ryo8899 So I said some theme songs wouldn't be appearing for awhile, but I didn't say all of them. This is very catchy but lacks the top tier elements of the other theme songs on this list. It is a little too repetitive and perhaps worse it is obvious that it repeats itself too much in places. There is nothing outright bad about this theme though and it is an enjoyable listen but at the end of the day if it isn't a truly great theme it isn't making any sort of cut and this isn't a great theme. It doesn't help that I can't remember watching the show that much even though I know I must have. Cute sequence though. 82. The Morning Report (The Lion King) – Nominated by Wigs. I fully admit the only reason this song is this high is due to the hunting lesson in the middle of it. Seriously that is awesome, and it is so awesome that is going to end up being the only thing I talk about here. Oh, I guess I can talk about how much I love Simba's singing voice and Mufasa being a total troll is pretty amazing as well. Yeah I guess Simba's singing part really saves this song.
