My copy of Guatemala arrived in the mail today. It's on 5 discs in one regular-sized DVD case (same as Thailand and Amazon). Special features:

-Meet the cast
-All extended Final Words
-All morning-after Early Show interviews (except Lydia and Rafe for some reason)
-Jeff's cast assessment (I don't think I ever saw the one for this season, so that'll be cool)
-"Sizzle Reel - Highlights of casts' interviews and special highlights"

Will probably start it up tonight after my final.

I just watched the finale & am watching the reunion right now (thankfully I avoided this topic before seeing the winner, not that it mattered since it was so obvious all along). Haven't read anything in this thread after page 1, but i just got to this part in the reunion:

Four episodes into Guatemala and I have to say I'm amazed at how well-edited this season is. Maybe it's just because I'm so used to 6 of the last 7 seasons being terribly-edited, and the other not being that much better, but it really seems like everyone's getting a fair edit here (I know Stephenie's gets incredibly bloated as the season goes on though). Also, something I noticed the last time I watched the season, this is the least-diverse cast that the show has ever had, with 17 whites and 1 Latino. I assume this is what led to the racial divide two seasons later.

I had kim and alicia on my team so I hope that means I win >_> I remember everyone else was down to only 1 person ecept for that one lucky guy who kept all 3 for a long time...

By the way, I know some people in here read the spoilers board on Sucks for One World, who did it end up being that they said "screwed themselves over?" I'm guessing it was either Jay or Alicia.

I had Sabrina, so if we're only going by final placement I finished second. If we're counting overall though I probably finished last seeing as how I drafted Bill and Kourtney as well.

The funny thing is I think pretty much everyone would have drafted Kim first had they taken their turn first. She was the favorite even before the show started. <_<

I got rid of the points and just decided that whoever picked the sole survivor would be the winner - which was Dels.

It also kinda became painfully obvious early on who the sole survivor was, but eh.

The points idea didn't work well from what I saw. The point of the draft was to pick the sole survivor, and the point system was just tacked on at the last second to spice it up for those who might not get lucky and pick the winner. But the differences in points between many teams was becoming too significant halfway through the season, and I realized that it would always be that way no matter what. It was nigh impossible to catch up if you lost a contestant early on. I think it would be a better idea if it was fleshed out more.

well I liked the points system because it made it feel like you didn't have to be lucky and just pick the winner, you had to root for your people to just get as far as possible. that way, you could still "win" even if the winner got chosen before you could pick.

but whatever, I'm glad I "won"

its funny because I actually only barely skimmed through the cast vids, and I thought kim seemed kind of nice, but totally unmemorable, and for some reason, when we had to make our lists for the draft, I just had a complete change of heart and was like "actually, kim was pretty cool, might as well put her first" and then I found out she was everyone's pick to win, and then...the first episode actually aired and it just became more obvious with each ep. so, yeah.

If there is a mustached female next season, she's going to win. I'm going to start paying attention to this.

Still behind 1 episode of Flipped Off, but I watched the 3rd episode, and that was for sure the worst one so far. The whole thing felt totally staged IMO. It was still entertaining though.

What the hell at Russell losing to Ragan. Russell was interesting. He was awful half the season--but amazing half the season. Ragan was just horrible the whole time.

Website is running the bracket. Super Pass is the main site that hosts the live feeds each year.

Also, it's a bracket in regard to gameplay. The only downside I see is Will facing Dan in the quarterfinals. That should be the damn final.

I will be visibly upset if any of the returnees don't make at least jury. I feel like that would be such a waste since I personally <3 returnees. (Except on RI)

Since BB14 is right around the corner, and I'm slowly getting stoked for it (and it better not freaking suck like the past 2 years, despite me liking the live feeds), my sister and I are watching BB10. Her first time ever watching BB (10 seems like a good season to test the waters), and I've watched BB10 like 3 times now. Always enjoy it.

She's having a little bit of trouble adjusting to the different format. She likes Survivor a lot more right now. She was rooting for Kim and Jonas all throughout OW. She thinks that most of the BB10 contestants are really dumb, though she's currently a sucker for Jerry's sweet grandpa edit (oh how that'll change). She likes Dan, but dislikes his 'accent'. We're only 4 episodes in (Jessie just won HoH), so we'll see have to see if it grows on her. I think it will.

10 was pretty much the last great season. I really liked that one. It's always a good thing when the eventual winner felt pretty prominent all season. Like imagine if Porche had won last season. She was a complete non-entity for probably half the season.

So far the only returnee in a season where less than half the cast was returnees that has failed to make at least the jury has been Russell in RI, so I think odds are at least two of the returnees should at least make the jury.

Yeah, Dan had a story right out of the gate. It's pretty great on re-watch.

Porsche should have won BB13, which is the funny part. Rachel was awful, even though she brought some entertainment.
