I think it depends on the season. After Rachel got eliminated in 12, people were like "Brendon isn't so bad", and vice versa in 13. I think people just hate them together.

I liked Rachel in her first season for a while. But her existence basically ruined the season; she got rid of all the women and refused to go until it was in the bag for the four guys. I would have liked her a lot more if she had gotten rid of like, Hayden and Lane.

Yeah, I loved Rachel in 12, and couldn't stand the Brigade. But oddly, around when she was getting eliminated, I ended up liking the Brigade, and was glad they won (which they clearly deserved). It was for sure one of the worst season though.

Sometimes in a season, they hinge so much on the person who just hangs by a thread, and once they get eliminated, it's like "well who cares now". Probably why Vanuatu is one of the most well liked seasons. Because that was one of the rare cases where that didn't happen.

Or like, Fairplay and Terry, who both got eliminated at the penultimate tribal council (and I hated them both). Coincidentally, those are my two favorite seasons.

man, cook islands gets way too much hate. compared to recent seasons its great. pre-merge you get hilarity such as billy "i love you" garcia and CAO BOI, and Penner is hilarious, and Yul is a good winner despite the overpowered idol.

Wow, it's really amazing how much camp life they showed in older seasons. I feel like right now it's 75% camp life, 25% challenges/tribal. It's really nice.

Of course, these are highly unlikely to STAY my top/bottom 10 overall, but my #1 and my #426 have already found their spots out of those 7 seasons.

Every season before Samoa is worth watching. So I would recommend all of what you're missing, in order.

China and Amazon are both great choices.

I say Gabon should be your next one, because you've watched every other season from Micronesia to One World, so might as well get the only season you're missing.

Thailand is my favorite season that you haven't seen edwards.

If you're looking for something fresh coming off of these recent seasons, Thailand is objectively the best edited season in the history of the show.

Yeah, very true. It has my favorite Final 4/5 ever. But I can see why people hate them. Though I don't think they're nearly as unlikable as everyone says. *Thailand Spoilers* Brian was an ass, but entertaining by being the best player ever. Clay was one of the funniest people to ever be on the show, and is most like Randy of anyone IMO. Jan was crazy and funny. Helen was funny, and one of my favorite contestants ever. Ted was great early, but kind of went weird after grindgate. I can see that tainting the whole season. But even though season lacked a lot of flipping and flopping, it developed these awesome characters better than almost any season besides Borneo.

Thailand spoilers:
Brian is in a similar situation as Kim in terms of a winner-edit in that they were both shown to be the only remotely competent strategic player after the merge, but were given very little in terms of character development. Rob could be thrown into this group as well, but he was given a little bit more character development than those two.

China is a great season. And, believe it or not, I actually enjoy rewatching Samoa. I've rewatched it more than most of the seasons. It has a really fun plot and some good characters.
