I'm gonna try to get my brother into it this summer. Since I have 1-12 and 20 on DVD, I may as well at the very least start by showing them to him in order (he's seen a few episodes here and there but I don't think he remembers anything other than the dead grandma and Boston Rob).

Gained a lot of respect for Ozzy in the Micronesia reunion.

When asked about Amanda he says "Well Jeff you know how these Survivor girls are" (Jeff was with Julie from Vanuatu at the time)

and he said he lost his job as a waiter since he was too recognizable and had to go clean toilets (Clearly a jab at Denise for her fake story)

Also, aw Mikey B got Jenna Morasca'd, that's sad. :(

So I started rewatching Samoa. The videos were uploaded on youtube in 2009. I got 5 episodes in, and they just now removed them all. I mean...f***ing really? All of the sudden now? Really?

Anyway, I always like paying attention to the early boots, because they feel like a rarity. Mike's confessionals before the challenge that he got medivac'd on was funny, knowing how that was going to play out. Brett had a lot of shots that just lingered on him during the premiere. It was weird. And I never realized how adorable Ashley was. Now I'm so sad she was booted as early as she was. She got a decent amount of screen time, and just seemed really likable.

Gene - I really like him for some reason.
Stephanie - I like her.
Apollo - He's kind of odd. He seems too spineless to play a game like this, but he seems like a positive person. Could go either way.
Jeffrey - He's kind of fun to watch.
Robin - She seems kind of neat.
Joy - She's alright.
Mike - He's ok.
Kevin - I like him in some ways, but in other ways he reminds me a lot of Chase, which is a bad thing.
Jacob - That's the guy that quit, right? He was boring.
Holly - Eh.....
Erica - Who?
Andrea - Who?
Ashley - Stupid.
Alex - Lame. Just insults people without being clever or entertaining.

I can't even match the names to over half the cast.

Alex - Colton-wannabe (literally could be his brother I feel). Honestly, he's both good and bad. Good because he's a character who is at least trying (admittedly a little too much too soon), but bad because his trying kinda sucks. He'd be better if he toned it down.

Jacob - Glad he left. He wouldn't have been interesting to watch anyway. Not to mention leaving in the first week... great potential there.

Joy - Another try hard, ala Alex. She cried thanks to him, and is a bit too skanky.

Apollo - Ears. Reminded me of Dr. Sean from Borneo.

I've never seen Big Brother, and I was kind of interested in trying to watch Glass House...But then I read that the outcome of the game is decided entirely by votes from the viewers? Survivor is the only reality show I've seen, and I it would be similar to that, but if the voting is done by the public, doesn't that mean the show is essentially just a contest to make viewers like you more? I'd be interested in watching if there was still strategy and if anyone could win, not just the super likeable people...

Have I got it wrong impression? Is it still worth watching?
