Did AvX versus 1 come with a digital redeem code for anyone here who picked it up? I got the first printing at my lcs and it didn't come with one nor have anything about it on the cover but didn't think anything of it till today when I picked up AvX vs #2 and it did have a digital redeem code.

I had marked TMNT #10 down for release yesterday when I was looking at TFAW and getting release dates a while ago, but now I check and they list it as coming out in two weeks. Was there a delay? Or was the old date just a mistake? Or was I imagining things when I saw them list it for May 16th?

Woot my Grant Morrison Animal Man trades just arrived in the mail :D. Haven't had a chance to read any of them yet :(Got each at right around $10. Also got my sis all the season 8 buffy comics but 7 and 8 are temp out of stock and will arrive at some later point. I loved the Nick Fury references from Xander in vol one of buffy.

Been thinking about what will replace JLI, some thoughts I've some up with.

Based on the solicits, hints in other books, and the annual, likely members of the new JL team include Green Arrow, The Ray, OMAC, Blue Beetle, and some other members already in the JLI.

Both OMAC and Blue Beetle currently have a severely negative public image in the DCU that would prevent them from being major independent heroes. Green Arrow as well, possibly.

Both The Ray and Green Arrow have had government invitations to join this team.

Blackhawks, the current government run DCU team, was disbanded.

It's all mostly subjective, but I would really be surprised if the new team wasn't a secret Special Ops JLI team with that evidence.

It would also be a fairly logical place to stick Batwing, who's book, to be completely honest, probably won't last very long. Same with Blue Beetle. Maybe even Captain Atom, though there is no evidence yet of that, except that the tone of his current book, while good, probably can't sustain its story for much longer, and that comic wouldn't work as just another superhero book. I think it's the worst selling DC title right now, right? Grifter is another idea, though I've got no reason to justify that other than low sales. Same goes for Firestorm and Frankenstein.

I honestly hope Booster and Batwing aren't on whatever team the new JLI book is. The only reason I will not drop its continuation is if Batwing is on it. Booster on it depends on other people. But I really hope Batwing doesn't get cancelled and he isn't in another book majorly so I can afford both Gambit and Hawkeye till they get cancelled. So dropping Legacy when AvX ends though.

It's like they ACTUALLY SAID "it doesn't matter if it's s***, it'll sell", which we joke about Marvel and DC saying some times, but this time I think they ACTUALLY DID IT. None of the writers in any of the books give two s***s about what the other writers were doing, it's way worse than when Millar didn't care what side hero's chose to be on in the tie-ins back in Civil War. This is Countdown to Final Crisis level stuff here.

As someone who hated Ultimate Spider-Man when it began (especially in comparison to the amazing Spectacular), it has gotten better.

Not so much better that it's really really worth watching, but it has a little bit more potential now. Right around the 5th or 6th episode (whichever one had Hulk in it), they cut out most of the more unbearable stuff and it's been better since.

Of course, it's only been two episodes since then so I don't know how long it'll last, but hey we'll see.
