THe entire show is depressing

they introduce a million new characters on episode 4 I think. being that the show is really short they dont flesh out anything, nothing gets resolved in the entire show. The cool things that could happen will never be seen because the show will probably never get a second season.

Last weekend, the ratings weren't that great because of big sport games. Though they still don't considder it a loss. Also, there was a Toonami promo during the NBA game! That's pretty awesome.

Well Chrono, it appears you were mistaken. Today's episode was rather good, and next week's looks promising as well. None of the remaining eps might reach the quality of the dog race, but it hasn't been a steady drop. At least not yet...

Well g'night everyone!

I just checked and the show is a couple of episodes longer than I thought it was, so the next episode is actually pretty good.

The problem with the show isint that any individual episode is bad, but the fact that each episode basically adds a new plot hole. To get an idea how fast it moves, they basically cover 3 complete arcs in the 12 episodes.

That's an interesting development, Chrono. It's a shame they went at that pace and still didn't manage to give it a decent conclusion.

It's not really their fault (well it kinda is... I actually think they ended the show around to where the manga was at the time). But I hear they also cut out a lot of other stuff with character development and such (something you get almost none of). There's absolutely no closure at all.

Casshern Sins couldn't match the amazingness of least week, but it was still pretty great.
One of the better episodes of FMA:B.
Awesome episode of GitS:SAC2ndGig.
Awesome episode of Cowboy Bebop.

This was probably my favorite week of Toonami since its return.

It's the first time it has done so, and I'm sure it will be back to normal next week. Bleach has the most loyal fans of these shows, a lot of them probably don't care much about Toonami, so in a night where lots of people watched sport games, Bleach drops less than the rest. Bleach also does well in general in the second slot because a lot of its target auidence might be out that night, and therefore watch it later.

I wonder what they'll put on when Deadman Wonderland is done. Keep it there for a while perhaps, but they might acquire something else, like Panty & Stocking, Tiger & Bunny or whatever else of small series they wanted to.

There are definitely plans to make changes to the block as soon as it’s possible. DeMarco says that they’ve been looking at acquiring shows like Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, Fairy Tail, Inuyasha: The Final Act, and Gundam Wing. DeMarco also mentioned that One Piece was a personal favorite of his, and that he’d love to see it back on Cartoon Network. Watching unedited One Piece on Toonami would be the stuff of dreams.

Maybe one of those will be on.

I think it'd be awesome to see One Piece again. It never got to show it's best parts on TV, but it seems like there's higher chances for the rest, since OP was only noted as DeMarco's personal favorite, though it has been asked for more than the others. I guess they're not sure how to handle it with the length, and where to start.

It'd be awesome to see Fairy Tail, even though I'm already watching that subbed. I'd check everything but Inuyasha: The Final Act out, in which case I'd watch the prequel first.

Best not to watch Inuyasha at all to be honest. The two main characters are pretty bad and nearly ever arc just repeats itself.

I have no plans to watch it. But if it aired on Toonami it would be another case.

Being between 4 and 9 episodes into the stuff, current ranking on the Toonami shows;

Fullmetal Alchemist (8) > Cowboy Bebop (9) > Ghost in the Shell (4) > Deadman Wonderland (4) > Casshern Sins (4) > Bleach (5)

Everything is very good though. Especially expecting Bleach to get up, but CS will probably also surpass DW as it looks now.

They're talking about a change in schedule soon. Guess that might be concerning finished series since DW still has 8 episodes, though they didn't really mention how soon. Anyone know if FMA, 2ndGIG or Bebop is currently close to ending their current run? Not that I think they care.
