It's pretty much like a 10-episode episodic filler sequence, it's pretty bad.

I'll probably just keep up with Casshern Sins, since I think I'd rather read the manga for Deadman Wonderland.

Fullmetal Alchemist > Bleach > Deadman Wonderland > Ghost in the Shell > Cowboy Bebop > Casshern Sins

I like them all except for CS.

Did they start over from the beginning with GitS and Cowboy Bebop for the whole Toonami reboot?

I haven't actually seen those two series from start to finish so I may consider it if they did.

Deadman Wonderland > Cowboy Bebop > Casshern Sins > Ghost in the Shell S.A.C. 2nd GIG >>> FullMetal Alchemist: Brotherhood >>> Bleach

Love the first four, like the fifth, and I wouldn't still be watching Bleach except for the fact that it's part of the block and there's not much else on at that point. It's not for me at all.

I've never regretted following Bleach. It's not the greatest WSJ manga, but it beats a lot of their current series for me.

Deadman Wonderland: 860,000 (12:30 AM) and 557,000 (3:30 AM)
Casshern Sins: 796,000 (1 AM) and 488,000 (4 AM)
Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood: 699,000 (1:30 AM) and 473,000 (4:30 AM)
Ghost in the Shell: 2nd Gig: 698,000 (2 AM) and 450,000 (5 AM)I
Cowboy Bebop: 669,000 (2:30 AM) and 419,000 (5:30 AM)

That's actually pretty good, all taken into considderation.

I'm actually confident ratings can raise as the budget grows, which it should do. Especially once they have the money to advertise in weekdays as well.

Unforunately that article is just PR spin. Look at how for every other show mentioned, they noted what percentage it gained. For the anime they didn't do that. So despite winning the timeslot, the ratings most likely aren't any better than they were. Its not going to be cancelled but it isn't really doing well enough to get a bigger budget.

While it's true that it's not that great, winning kery demos certainly is a big plus, and if they continue to that, their budget should grow. Last time was first week after all, it's very rare for something to do better second week than first. Also, Bleach is in filler, while DW and CS aren't exactly "big" anime, so it's pretty good.

Those are good numbers, though. Winning the key demos is the most important aspect, not the raw numbers. This is Cartoon Network, not HBO.

Except that if they were already winning the demos (or close to winning) with their endless reruns they had before it returned, they have no reason to invest more money. If they get similar ratings regardless of what they show, they aren't going to increase the budget.

Just sayin'.Watching in and of itself won't do much of anything, so since I'm willing to bet none of us here have a Nielsen box (I'd love to be wrong!) be sure to hit the net on more places than just B8 advertising Toonami.

But Casshern is improving at least! I'm just gonna be honest here: Casshern episode 1 sucked donkey balls. From its premier I thought the whole show was gonna be a bunch of robots trying to eat some MMX lookalike with amnesia but the last two episodes have made it look a lot deeper.

Meanwhile DMW kind of dropped off last show. Actually, that's understandable given it would be difficult to top that dog race thing. Oh wells.
