yes. blues, glyphs. I think I have scaling MR, but I might have changed it to flat cdr. can't tell you how many times I wish I had .1 seconds shaved off of a soraka w/r, alistar q/w, leona q/e...

I just feel like, by the time the scaling starts to kick in, the AP on the other team will still be able to burst you down should you ever get caught, if you're some squishy support like Soraka or Sona.

After a huge loss streak (averaged 8 losses 2 wins last week, still have a 30ish more wins than losses but eh) I feel I'm climbing out of there. Just did a 3/2/19 Support Nunu game. Feels good man.
per level MR runes catch up to flat by level 9. That's around the point where the team fight ends, and you probably won't be fighting mages before then.
Also, sona and soraka with shurelias, locket, mercs(soraka can skip mercs with her passive), and aegis will have 2.5K health and around 150 armor and MR. I would hardly call them squishy.

I am waiting on finding a mouse before I get super super into this again, but I was wondering who I should focus on learning. I appear to have 2175 points, which seems to be enough to buy some people. I currently own Ashe, Pantheon, Ryze, and Tristana, as well. Who should I play? Before, I remember using Teemo and Ryze mostly, with some time also on AP Singed and I think Ashe and Tristana I guess. My runes are geared towards abilities, it seems- I have AP, AP/Level, Magic Pen, Cooldown, and Health (also a Health Regen quintessence thingy as a backup). Based on that info, is there anybody you can recommend I buy or practice?
Ashe and Trist are AD bots, Ryze is an AP mid, and Pantheon is a top. If you want to prepare for THE META, you should look for a support ant a jungler. Nunu can fill both roles, and Warwick is (allegedly) a great "babby's first jungler".
Also, buy Movespeed Quintessences and use them on everything.

You can get Alistar for free by liking the Riot youtube channel (see the website for details) so go ahead and do that.
If you have AP, Magic Pen, and AP/level, you should look into any types of AP mids, where the name of the game is often "kill your opponent lots". You could try running Teemo at top lane with that setup, but I don't know if that's efficient or not. Depending on the free week champions, you could have some solid options to try out. This week, you can try Anivia (pretty hard to use), Katarina (can have some bad matchups) and Veigar (can have some bad matchups). Cheap AP champs include Annie, Fiddlesticks, Morgana, Sion, and Twisted Fate. You can run a few other champs as AP but with very mixed results (Kog'Maw, Tristana, Master Yi).
Really though, if you haven't played in years, things are going to be much different than what they used to so I wouldn't worry much about it and would just have fun trying characters for awhile and see what sticks.

They're not nearly as tanky as blitz, leona, or alistar, that's for sure. All I'm getting at is that as a traditional support you should do your best to not take any damage and support your teammates as best you can. CDR helps with that and can help you a lot in lane.

I try to be like Krepo and have balls. But my balls are not strong enough to be good. And I make bad decisions because I don't play enough to know what I can and can't do with who.

I wish I weren't so bad at AP mid, but I've learned it's because I'm not good at engaging with mids, not good at realizing when I have enough strength to go for a kill. Without a gank I end up just harassing endlessly and end up getting engaged on first, which usually leads to death for me. Plus I panic a little bit, which doesn't happen in any other lane.
34% more IP this weekend, eh? Hmm. It'll help me save additional IP for champ 100, and maybe runes for my other page, since I'm pickin' up Draven after skipping Darius. The one general page has been working decently enough when I Dominion and Normal SR, but I imagine there'd be complaints if I ever did Ranked again. >_>
Apparently they were planning on doing something else for the likes on facebook, but it didn't develop well. So instead they did this and the entire forums went into an uproar.
Well soon after the post about the boost went down from the front page.
Entitlement issues. That forum has them.

According to the forums, a 10 win IP boost is much more efficient than a 34% IP boost over 2 days.

Damn Draven looks nice. That skin is amazing. So tempting to get another $10 RP to pick his bundle up when it comes out. Anyways would it be possible for me to get on PBE and if so how do I do it? Also about how long would it take me to get enough IP/RP to try out Draven?

Pretty sure the issue was that for 2009 and 2010 they were 100% IP boosts. Also, there was a promised reward for getting to 2mil likes, but that was just swept under the rug. There was a gif of Nikasaur and Tamat getting shot with nerf guns as "punishment" for screwing up the 2mil likes thing. And that now that LoL has grown bigger than ever, the bonuses promised are cut down incredibly. I mean, yes no one's entitled to anything, but if that version of events is correct then that is indeed pretty crappy.
PBE client is readily available somewhere, check the PBE forums. And I'm pretty sure they regularly give out free IP and RP on PBE to encourage testing lots of things.
edit: also, now that SMITE has entered closed beta, I am going to be juggling that with LoL, Awesomenauts, Skyrim, and whatever else comes up. DotA never really interested me simply due to art style and things like that.
I was fine with the 34% thing, but only because I don't have a sense of entitlement five miles wide like some people and would have settled for... well, nothing really, I don't expect anything from them but regular patches and two sales a week. Anything else is extra.
I just hope that classical conditioning doesn't kick in and the community thinks that crying is a good way to get more.

Shoulda set the bar higher and demanded lots of RP.
Amumu gets destroyed pre-Level 6 by anyone who knows what they're doing. Post Level-6 he can change teamfights and win games with his ult, the idea is to set him too far behind for that to matter. I don't think he's gotten a buff recently, you might just be playing people that don't know how to counterjungle or something.
Amumu's jungle speed is just fine. Just protect the Blue. Even if they take the red just go gank. Really taking his blue will be the only real thing that shuts him down. The ult buff was a big deal. Means Amumu can gank more often.
