The deal only made sense if someone were so indifferent about the remaining characters. That they've lost just about every character they were supporting. Doc and I were targeting that niche market. I can only say for myself, if virtually all of my Top 20 were wiped out, and I had no one left to support, I would jump at the opportunity. Otherwise, I'd just be either an agent of chaos or not bother with saving. Who knows?
Glad no one took us up on the offer in hindsight, hehe.

Well sure, but who could possibly be indifferent toward every last one of the top ten (that's about when you guys started pandering that next contest deal right)?
Anyhoo, I would certainly make the Beast my #1 if someone else were to also do the same
Sorry Poke, but having one major supporter with maybe "some help whenever possible" does not do a character any good. Belle had two hardcore supporters, some regulars who lost their favorites, and a handful of casuals, and Beast doesn't really have any of that as far as I know. And dammit, I do not want another #3 finish to my name. I wanna back a winner!
I could see Beast gaining strength as the contest goes along. He had Paul, and he should definitely main him next year *OVER 9 HINTS!!!*
I'd at least love to see Beast do well. I can't promise #1 backing. That spot is already reserved, but we have a whole year to get our priorities in order :)
From: BrettEagles | #066 I could go for another Gaston run, but I would need support. If not, Aladdin and his crew will go legendary. May I have a first class ticket on the Gaston train?
Wow that was a lot closer than I thought. Belle wasn't originally someone I prioritized over Hook, but a rewatch plus Doc and Poke's passion flipped me (and, with the other 2 votes I controlled, flipped the result! I definitely wasn't expecting it to be in that range).
Great finals, and a pretty damn good top 10 for one that just missed Ariel and Jack.
For next year's priorities, I'm going to try and broaden my horizons a bit, rewatch some things, and see where I end up when it comes. Though I already want to take like 5 different characters to the top. <_<

I'm pretty sure Brett miscounted, but still. Your votes were huge, and I was really nervous when I saw you had won them. I remembered you helping out Hook a lot in the earlier stages and assumed you were going to give them all to him. Thankfully I was wrong, otherwise it would have been much too close for comfort. So yeah, thanks for the help with Belle!
Yeah, I'm just gonna go back to supporting characters that aren't as popular. It was great supporting Stitch as my #1 and trying to get him something new but falling short at the same 4th spot was very tough to swallow and not worth it (for me) at all. Me and Ken got Lampy to 17th and honestly that felt much more rewarding.
I wanna take Lampy even further if possible and of course support adorable little Meeko!
I actually like Belle quite a bit but due to how things turned out at the end, I'm not really satisfied at all. I guess that comes with supporting something all the way for it come up short.
Oh wells, I still had fun many times in this contest and hopefully maybe I can snag an even better spot for Lampy next year (Meeko's 4th is unbeatable for him lol, and Stitch ain't getting past 4th unless everyone wants to vote for him next season lol)
Woooooosh Lampy! Yay Meeko! HUZZAH!

lol, i thought me "taking you up on your offer" would have clued you in. Plus I was saving Belle second the last couple rounds after Pooh was eliminated.
Belle vs Scar, though, I might not have been so gracious... that would have been really really difficult.

I always tend to assume the worst, even if I did pick up on your latest voting tendencies. <_<
From: muddersmilk | #087 I really can't even remember her being on any of the "Disney Princess" stuff. Its always Belle, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel, and now Rapunzel. She wasn't originally one of the princesses in the franchise, but was added later with Pocahontas, Tiana, and Rapunzel.
Yay, great contest despite losing my top priorities early, but Flynn proved to be a capable replacement :3. Good winner too, I like Belle. Thanks Brett for running it, looking forward to the next.
Just to be clear Doc, I was gonna take up on your offer once Frollo died, but I completely forgot <_<.
as always, any feedback is much appreciated. Suggestions, comments, ideas for improvement?
I think the contest is good as it is rules-wise, there wasn't any big drama at all and that was good. I also like how we start conversating in the middle of rounds and stuff lol. I "suppose" not starting night rounds too late would be nice for me though :P.
Who was the biggest surprise?
Honestly? Jane. Once we got to a point it was clear that Flynn, Pooh and Tod would place high, but Jane making the top 25 being the third or so priority of only one person was excellent and I'm glad that she got some respect here.
Who will be your priority next contest?
Obviously Megara and Phoebus as I want them to recover from this one. I was gonna main Pocahontas but she got booted. I also want to test some low-carder favorites/newcomers next year, among them Zira, Mother Gothel, Sarabi, Calliope (the lead muse), Grandmother Willow and others I'm forgetting.
-- SuperNiceDog won the Guru contest super nicely!
Here, Stitch racks up his second top five performance (tying his best), joining a list of four other characters (Donald, Mulan, Simba, and Frollo) who have done this. Stitchs repeat is notable, however, as he is the first one to do this who didnt have them back-to-back. Three of the others (Frollos test will come next year) fell off sharply after accomplishing their back-to-back top fives, so Stitch has the privilege of actually retaining his contest strength. His finish this year also moves him ahead of Tinker Bell to put him behind only Belle in contest strength. Rapunzel is technically also in front of him, but Id wait for her to perform in another contest before making that official. So, I know Ermine made quite a few jabs at me labeling him as a powerhouse but theres no way to look at this and say otherwise. Anyway, great finish for him and, seeing as he had something of a drop after his last fourth place finish, well see how hell hold up next contest.

Scar needs to take a hint from Hook and keep at least some sort of consistent pattern to his finishes hes pretty much all over the place, making it difficult to really get much from his past performances or his overall strength in these contests. Still, I can say this, this is the strongest Scars been in a contest, with his best finish yet (to the point where he struck fear into the hearts of the unprepared, a likely cause of his elimination). On the plus side, this contest combined with his other finishes seem to prove that his performance in II was quite the fluke. But on the downside it does mean hes quite unlikely to perform this well again, due to his fluctuations in final placement. Still, great contest for him, great finish, no supporters should be upset with where he ended up. Okay, quick quiz, does anybody actually read these? I feel like the fact that I make them so long deters people from reading them, so answer that if you notice this.

I've read almost all of them. I like them!
