I really hope there was an element of saving up for next year's E3 from both Sony and MS for their new consoles because neither showed anything really exciting to me. I fear there's not though, and that's just what they're offering from here on. Meh.
Good job, Ubisoft, though! And come on Ninty.

I am actually regretting my Vita purchase really badly right now
I mean I did buy it immediately as a PSP machine... but I did expect SOME Vita games later on. That was my entire reasoning for it "I'll play it for PSP until Vita games come!"
this seriously sucks, first time I've regretted a video game purchase....... well, since Infamous 2 last week since THEY GOD DAMN ANNOUNCED IT FOR FREE TODAY
you know, if you think about Sony rationally, they didn't really do that bad. Beyond looked cool (though zero gameplay shown), Last of Us is pretty much guaranteed to be good, God of War is God of War, Sony Smash Bros could be okay. four exclusives that MS doesn't have, whereas MS's top four were Halo 4, a Gears teaser, Forza and Fable Kinect.
but when you consider how much they dropped the ball on, and that damn book, it's hard not to call this a disaster for them. I expected them to really do something and they did absolutely nothing. they left a platform to die and they didn't show much for PS3 either.
2012 is going to be an off year for video games. come on Nintendo

GAH SONY DOUBLE-BURNING ME
I thought your mom bought it
she did, but I could've gotten something else! I was with her and picked out what I wanted
Now that the crappiness of the Wonderbook presentation has started to be digested...what exactly does it REALLY enhance beyond what the EyeToy already can do? You can rotate it I guess, and I suppose having the frame of reference helps the effects look better, but REALLY?

On a side note I'm not really sure where all this Microsoft > Sony sentiment is coming from. Yeah Wonderbook sucked but really the Sony conference had a lot more interesting titles IMO.

I see a tough crowd here. The lack of attention to Vita is confusing to me--the games are there, I'm not sure why they aren't giving them attention on a big stage like that.
Depends on the person. They dropped the ball on Vita for reasons I'm not sure of, but if you own a PS3 they did a good job of giving you good looking games for this year and early next. I'm not going to say they 'won' E3 or anything, but yeah. I don't care about the Wonderbook thing in the same way I don't care about Microsoft's Nike crossover or random Nickelodeon apps!
