I just hate champions being in non-title singles matches on PPV. Like Orton/Rhodes pissed me off in a big way. Orton totally could have won the title there and then lost it back cheaply to fuel the SvS build. Or something. Or hell, Rhodes could have won with help from the baggers and Orton could have gone over in the non-title street fight on SD

And Ricardo would be an amazing US champ anyway. They could play an angle where Del Rio is jealous of the success he achieves when he's injured or something.

Speaking of titles, you have to imagine that the Bound For Glory series is a great thing for TV Champion Devon.

It'll cut out 12 potential high-quality challengers! No one would want to chase that title and be forced to defend it every week IN ADDITION TO their BFG Series matches.

I would mind the lesser belt champions being in non-title matches if I could possibly care about them. As it is, the World Titles are almost certainly going to reach half a year without either being defended in a PPV Main Event, so being in the second-tier of belts is just a huge 'why do these even exist?'

This is doubly so since the brand split pretty much doesn't exist.
