Barry isn't benched in the storyline. He also isn't in the storyline.

This could work if they make a Harry the main character. He doesn't even need to be a speedster. Really, just stop pretending and rename the show The Misadventures of Harrison Wells guest starring Harrison Wells from Earth-2 to Earth-52.

I'm not entirely sure what that means, but I do know it better mean they quit giving Wally the treatment Roy got on Arrow aka basically jobbing almost all the time. I mean nobody wants to watch Kid Flash if it means him getting his ass kicked almost instantly all the time :(

I still don't get this whole Barry too good for killing thing. I mean he literally wasted at least 2 metahumans in rather bad deaths and basically felt no guilt about it. It's like the writers forgot all about that guy he exploded and that other guy who was like melted or vaporized or whatever. He straight up killed those guys

Had to look up the character because I think it was actually S2, but I mean Atom Smasher.

It might have been Savitar propaganda, but this is the same universe where Barry killing himself to prevent Savitar wouldn't have worked because they are time shenanigans incarnate. Yet five minutes later, messing with memory instantly does. So really, if one is looking for consistency, this is not the right show.

I'm glad Draco Malfoy could possibly still be around next season. Granted they could still just say "oh he moved back to England" and never see him again but I was sure he was gonna end up as Caitlin's annual dead love interest so being alive is a plus!

But in all seriousness, I think Barry will be back pretty fast. I'm sure Wally will get a lot of experience over the three month or so timeskip. Something will happen though that necessitates the Speed Force releasing Barry. Plus Cisco will be doing everything he can to bring back Barry.

Then next season will be about what happened in the three months Wally was the flash, and what happened to Barry in the speed force. (Along with a new villain, probably Davoe)

I like how both finales have things that don't really make sense and yet Arrow managed to be pretty great still while The Flash seems to have been disappointing for most looking around online. Also TONS of detail was put into that Arrow finale like spoilers Chase uses the same gun Oliver's dad used. The move Oliver uses to take down Artemis is the one Slade taught him and that building everybody was held hostage in was even shown in S1 or 2 as well

I dunno I liked the Flash finale but I'm a sucker for "heroic sacrifice" stories

Also while looking around I was reminded of a lot of previous Arrowverse stuff. Saw a lot of people saying Barry should've used the special weapon Oliver used against Reverse Flash aka NANITES courtesy of Ray Palmer.

I liked the Flash finale better than the Arrow finale.

Of course I just don't like Arrow's villain at all.

He doesn't make any sense! Chase's motive was really weak too, but... how the heck does he know all of Oliver's moves by training with Talia? Oliver trained with Talia for like a couple of days. He trained with Slade Wilson, Ra's Al Ghlu, Maseo, and probably others I'm forgetting. And how was he able to predict every little move that Oliver made anyway? I mean unless Talia has access to Gideon or something, there's no reason he should have been able to outmaneuver Oliver like he did. No matter what Oliver did it played into his hands. That's some precognition if I ever saw it. Prometheus was a way better villain in the first part of the season.

I have no problem with the villain being proficient because of how devoted he was to training to defeat Oliver. But the "We were trained by the same person!" explanation for it was weak every time they used it.

I'd imagine it's because a lot of Oliver's combat training come from League of Assassins members so he's got a fighting "style" that can be analyzed. Yeah Oliver had more than one teacher, but I'd imagine there's still a distinct set of moves everybody in the league learns. I mean it's a weak excuse, but I'll take it over "because Speedforce stuff we don't need to explain"

So what are things you want to see happen in the next season of all these shows?

In terms of plotlines: I would like to see Jay Garrick get more focus on Flash (impossible probably).

I'd specifically like an episode of multiple Wells' working together.

In terms of Arrow, I want no team for a while. Solo act only.

And in terms of Legends, I feel like I'll definitely enjoy whatever they have planned.

I partly want some team stuff and partly want some solo stuff for Arrow. I kinda feel like the new team has mostly been underwhelming and not really used well. Probably had a lot to do with making the story up as it goes or something. Rahman just vanished and was like never mentioned again an episode after his suit was ruined. Literally wasn't even important enough to be a hostage lol

The reason Arrow shouldn't put other people on the team is simple - everyone who has been on the team has inevitably been written extremely poorly at some point, and Oliver as a solo character (with Diggle, I'll add that exception) was when the show was sharpest.

unpopular opinion here maybe but I found the arrow finale to be pretty underwhelming despite liking the season overall. I'll just list my complaints here.

1. all of the villains teaming up with oliver felt really badly written and acted out of character the entire time. it was seriously like reading fanfiction where the fans really wanted the bad characters to be good again just because they were cool. I guess we have been wishing for Slade to come back for a while but damn, be careful what you wish for. he felt so out of character this entire episode.

2. oliver's team in general was overpowered as fuck. it's hilarious that they made a point to make it this huge deal where he was massively outnumbered and needed to recruit help from villains. like... what. the final battle was like oliver and 8 other people vs chase and... uh.... yeah, that's it. just chase and some random goons. even before that evelyn and talia took like 10 seconds each to defeat. man, ollie really needed the help here.

3. past oliver stuff was probably the best part but it outlined some serious issues. I like that they wrapped everything up and brought the story full circle to the start of season 1. now uh... someone explain to me why 5 years ago oliver was able to take down kovar and all of his guys singlehandedly, but current day oliver needed slade and nyssa and malcolm's help to do the same against prometheus. keep in mind that he has manhandled prometheus in EVERY encounter they've had so far and it hasn't even been close. it's pretty much established that prometheus is a psychological threat only and oliver can handily beat the shit out of him. what was he worried about again? evelyn? really dumb.

4. the way it all ended was basically completely and utterly pointless. we all know that nobody on the island actually got blown up. can TV writers please learn how to conclude a god damn storyline instead of making everything into a weak cliffhanger.

What I want to see next season:

Supergirl
-James getting an actual storyline that matters
-More young supergirl flashbacks (honestly that'd be an interesting concept for a show.)
-A Crossover with the other three shows that actually fills the Supergirl episode too

The Flash
-A Main Villain who's identity we know from the moment we meet them
-At least one new Wells
-No "Barry loses his powers" episodes (Or Wally!)
-Iris/Barry wedding
-Caitlin centric episode with Caitlin doing the opening "My name is Caitlin Snow. I became a metahuman when The Flash created Flashpoint. Now I've become someone else. Now I've become something else."

Legends of Tomorrow
-Less romance between Steel/Amaya
-Firestorm actually doing something. If he's too expensive write him off and let him appear on flash now and then.
-The team being less stupid
-At least one new character that would never get their own show

Arrow
-Felicity paying in spades for teaming up with Helix. Maybe with Helix being the major villains next season
-No Olicity Drama. She's worse than Lana ever was.
-Vigilante actually having a point, and NOT being the only recognizable new character (or Paul)
-No Flashbacks

For The Flash, I want a rogues-centric season.

Legends should definitely get a small team shake-up and though it's unlikely I'd want to see them permanently add one of Jonah Hex, Sgt. Rock, or Wesley Dodds, dropping Vixen or Firestorm. A Haunted Tank episode would be so cool too.

What others rogues does Flash have left that are popular/good? I feel like the best two got sent to Legends >__>

Have Thinker as the Rogues leader, do a better version of the Shade, and have the rest of the roster be Golden Glider, Mirror Master, Top, Weather Wizard, and Trickster. Introduce Fiddler if you have to.

Lucifer my fav of the finales so far, didn't actually realize it was the finale until things started getting so real with Luci's Mom, I've enjoyed her role and send-off. I knew something would happen with Luci at the end making the phone call for Chloe though >_> but wtf at the sudden wings

I don't think there was a single episode of Lucifer this season I was even a little disappointed in. Every episode was such a joy to watch, and I can't think of many shows like that. Literally no complaints. I'm really sad we won't be seeing it again for a while.

Absolutely, this season killed it in compelling characters and plotlines. I was so sad when the season was shortened a little from its initial 22-episode order.

Apparently the remaining episodes this season were all one-shot episodes after the big storyline ended, so they decided to rewrite them and put them into next season instead near the beginning so it wouldn't seem like stall tactics.

Say what you will about Gotham, but I think they've had a really solid second half. They've really built up this finale well. I'm pretty excited for it.
