Was it Mzero who proposed the theory that town might have scummy roles? And that's the reason he claimed ninja?

For now I'm fine with it because it showed he was thinking and taking actions based off his claim instead of conforming his claim to the known meta of the game or to what benefits his cause.

So anyway why this is a scum post. Death is, and I know I've said this before, a sneaky good player. He has a good mind and when he is trying to problem solve he asks some good questions to try to figure out the game.

VI was close when he said this was a filler question as it is PRETTY OBVIOUS why anyone would say Red and I are strong mafia players, so it is already a bit silly how a town death would roll up and think to ask that question. But then he goes one scum step further by making the question even more pointless. Like I think he realized how silly the question was so he tried to defend himself in advance 'oh yeah I could GUESS, but I want to read your response anyway." I can almost see Death shying away from the impact in advance. He got defensive over his question before he even hit post message.

Can we kill death now that'd be appreciated.

Guys is Ben the new me. (Not that I can claim to be great) but this is the third game I have seen him in and the last time I played with him he was scum too. I just read all of topic one and the little bit of topic two and I have more notes on him than anyone else in here.

-He opens the game asking for a mass claim because there are no vanillas. I can understand that this is probably a joke (and he will probably say that he was joking) but this is fishing just as much as anyone else.
-Metagames on Red saying "interesting" in his first post. Feels like such a weird thing to consider someone town.
-"banking a bit on Meta Kane" this feels blah.
-Says I jumped off of him too fast for restating things he already said. I don't recall him saying any of those feelings he was having.
-Defends Nana about the backup stuff and I say NO. Nana seems to have too much info about the backup scenario. In fact, his die hard defending of Nana makes me irked some more.
-He just feels too much like he was in Chrono Cross. Active but not really doing that much

With all of that being said I am going back to Nana because I don't feel like anyone is going after Ben today.

I feel like he has too much information especially with this backup nonsense. I am do not want to meta anymore than this though. Also, he said something that rubbed me the wrong way because he accused Sceptile of fishing and if Sceptile was fishing (which I didn't see) then what was Ben doing when he said we should Mass Claim.

Other things that I want to talk about. I feel TOWN about Ulti despite all the shit that is surrounding him. He is just such a toxic personality sometimes that it takes away from the fact that he can be a good Mafia player, or at least I used to think he was good back when everyone played. I don't like how MZero jumped on that train. Brohan on the other hand I remember liking his original logic and I love his statement about not focusing on past game bullshit.

I really like Meta_Knight, I cannot remember a first time player that I liked this much.

One other thing that was weird to me was the way Chris kind of overreacted to Red talking about him. It felt like a countervote without Red actually voting for Chris.

I hate PJ lol. The "I'm not backup" statement just drives me up a wall.

I explained this before, there was just something that immediately bugged me about PJ's post and that question was the first thing that popped up in my head
I just wanted a response out of him
in hindsight, I realized I should have asked him instead something to the effect of why it mattered that Red and Chris were strong players

either way it sounded like an excuse for PJ to dodge doing some actual work/give insight

I like eaed's post. I don't think MZero is scum, but Nana is a solid direction. I was impressed by his play in the last game, he had strong opinions and good reads. I don't get that impression from him now at all.

I agree with MK that probably Ben and Nana aren't both scum because Ben's latching onto Nana would be way too blatant to do to a scum partner. I do still feel that one is, though. The argument about Ben's play from death struck me as valid so I am currently on he fence as to which still. Waiting to hear more from Nana.

Also, about Brohan, as I recall from when I played here more frequently, Brohan is just the most casual player there is. He will joke around and end up getting lynched rather than taking things seriously for long. So I don't feel like his attitude is anything unusual.

I don't feel as strongly about him as I did before, but still leaning town though. I've played at least three or four games on the same team as scum Death, and like with last game, there's generally a few things I've notice in his playstyle to look out for. But he stopped posting as much so it's been harder to gauge some things about him properly.

Got the role PM and thought that was insanely powerful because the implication is that there is an actual town EBG, WHOSE LITERAL JOB IT IS TO DIE, PROTECTING SOMEONE AND KILLING SCUM AT THE SAME TIME, AND THEN I BECOME THAT ROLE.

Then I saw "There are no vanillas"

The fuck do you expect me to think? I'm to rationalize that I'm actually a backup EBG and town gets literally two protection/scum shots? Fuck you. I knew immediately that from a balance perspective that wouldn't be possible.

After reading his new claim I 100% think theres a chance for vanillas now, because it seems kinda imbalanced unless mafia has some hella strong roles. Then again balancing on forums is different than video mafia, sooooo.... From that reaction alone I town read him mainly from pure frustration that people wont get off him, even after hes given some info about his role... Wish he would have some memorable contribution outside of talking about his role, and his response to other people. I feel like its safe to say you'll find one or two wolfs that jumped on the lynch NaNa train, and probably one outside that was defending.

Nana's post doesn't resolve my doubts about him. We also have to consider the possibility that the host just told scum that they could clarify backup X and my whole attempt to hide info was pointless anyway. That's why I'm really skeptical of attempts to call people confirmed because they said the backup thing first.

Having a big trap in possible claims seems like it would be awful game design anyway.
