In super brief, Gravy was given some preliminary thoughts on how a thing worked when redrafting. He redrafted based on those preliminary thoughts before a finalized ruling/confirmation of precedent could be reached. When a finalized ruling was found that contradicted those preliminary thoughts, he asked for a refund and was told one would probably not be given. So he quit.

(If this is kinda vague it's because I'd rather not reveal too many details about the ability interaction that caused this in case Gravy comes back. But it's a pretty succint explanation of what happened.)

Yes, but two wrongs don't make a right. Realistically we probably shouldn't have given Luis that immediate redraft to begin with. This is kind of a sticky situation because while Gravy's demand is reasonable by itself, the reason for it ('I took admin preliminary thoughts like a ruling so it should be assumed to be equally binding!') sets down a really yucky precedent. Players rushing to make decisions based on information that is subject to change and then getting a takeback if things don't go right for them is not something we want to encourage.
