she does a similar thing in Revelator too. everyone else is fighting, she shows up, uses a giant beam to beat a big baddie, and i think that's literally all of her scenes.

Dizzy's been called 'the hope of the world' multiple times across all GG media. it means Sol won the battle and killed his own daughter. Without an innocent Dizzy there's no hope for a future where humans and Gears work together, hence the nickname.

An adrenaline pumping cutscene is never really an argument for or against building meter-- like the situation gives her the overdrive meter to do it. Like you've got street fighter characters leading with supers in a lot of cutscenes too, doesn't mean you should discard the idea of meter.

You want conclusive proof against the meter argument you'd want a scene where she's spamming them.

In general I feel like meter is a pure gameplay construct. Some attacks clearly need chargeup/buildup (see: how Dizzy spends a few seconds prepping the doomlaser), but usually I feel like the main reason characters don't just spam supers is that it takes energy to do it and going all-out ASAP is a great way to lose a fight.

are there any other cutscenes that need to be hunted down? got Johnny's mist finer spam over a large area, Slayer vs. Bedman, Sol's missile, Venom + Robo-Ky vs. Bedman (though this is really Venom's absurd super that is more impressive than his IKs ever have been), there anything else that's been mentioned as a reference for GG's power level? KJH mentioned Dizzy having a good showing against the anti-matter gears but it's mostly giant beam with seemingly no setup.

The black hole punch from Sol against the Absolute Barrier is I think the only major one-

WAIT OF COURSE

Elphelt saving Sol from Ramlethal and then from the expansion of the Absolute Barrier Felion. THAT is the best speed feat in GG - basically Sol and That Man are trying to break a barrier to the backyard by working together, That Man uses magic to focus all the strength of a punch from Sol into a single point (which if he fucked up would create a world-consuming black hole) and right before they can go through with it, some shit goes down and the Barrier begins to advance forward, consuming a battlefleet of airships in instants. Elphelt manages to rescue Sol and outruns the rapidly expanding barrier, which is I think the best speed feat we have for GG.

EDIT: Both these feats are from Sign, not Revelator, as a note.

honestly i'd say it depends on the super. like i don't think there's anything really preventing something like Zangief using an Ultimate Atomic Buster on multiple people in a row but for a giant beam attack i assume it's just a case where you gotta charge up for a bit, fire it off, then have to cool down for a bit, making it not-spammable at all.

No prob. And hopefully the romance story will save the sith girl from a bit of trouble too since it gives her power a lot of depth. Based on the wiki she sounds like a living lie detector, based on the plot she turns into a perfect tracking woman with precog that's probably based on the opponent's emotions/intentions.

I think the biggest counterpoint is that bass is a robot and it's all force based.

But she's a hell of a counter to many things. Luis should definitely see that video though - it gets into her personality, power, lore behind her being important, etc. Easily more important than specific attacks.
