Kirby has challenged Tira & Knuckles to a fight! Location of the fight: Angel Island Zone - The tropical jungle from Sonic the Hedgehog 3, before it is set alight. No enemies are present. Attackers will start at the starting point, while defenders will begin at the boss arena. Which side will win?

Guidelines

- The fight will occur in real-time (like an FMV sequence). Gameplay mechanics are less important than how the characters would function in a real-time environment.
- The members of each team are ideal teammates capable of a pre-selected plan of battle.
- "Broken" refers to a lot of things, including insta-death, auto-effects, a variety of status effects (e.g., Imp, Silence, Stop, *not* Poison), and revival. Unless stated otherwise, nobody has them, though do use your own discretion.
- There may be SPOILERS from all of the games the characters are from.

- You do not need to require justification for your vote, though the admins reserve the right to disqualify votes in the advent of obvious alt voting and other similar scenarios.

Kirby is as seen in the Kirby Super Star and Smash series. He has full use of his Smash Brothers Moveset along with the moves from his Bomb, Sword and Ninja forms. (He has also inhaled Liquid Snake and Tira, gaining a set of moves fitting each). He cannot inhale enemy fighters nor create helpers from his abilities during the match, but can inhale anything else and will not lose access to his forms due to taking damage. He is piloting Metal Gear REX as seen in the boss fight in Metal Gear Solid (Cockpit closed phase). He will walk Metal Gear REX in from the nearest convenient location on his team's side. He may not leave REX and if it goes down, it can be assumed Kirby has gone down with it. He has been possessed THROUGH THIS ARM by Liquid Snake and will have the personality, knowledge, and memories of Liquid, but otherwise be identical to the original mercenary.

Knuckles is as he appears in the Sonic games, an echidna who can glide along with his trademark strength, punching, and digging abilities. He has all the knowledge and experience that comes from starring in Metal Gear Solid, and will come to battle piloting Metal Gear REX as seen during the Metal Gear REX boss fight in Metal Gear Solid (Cockpit closed phase). The Pumpkin Hill theme from Sonic Adventure 2 will play throughout the terrain until Knuckles dies, with Knuckles rapping along.

Tira is as she appears in Soul Calibur V, with access to all her moves, although she must charge her Critical Edge/Brave Edge moves before using them. She will swap loyalties 30s after the teams meet, and will continue to swap loyalties every 30s. Neither team will initially be aware of this. Kirby will masquerade as Tira's mentor, and can keep in contact with her during the fight over codec until the teams meet in battle for the first time, at which point Kirby will enter a gleeful monologue about how he's misled her. She will be generally none the wiser to the deception, and will genuinely believe she is being given helpful advice from a reliable source, although she still won't do anything obviously incorrect, nonsensical, or out of character just because Kirby says so.

Anyway I think Kirby should win here.

The false info he provides Tira should be vital to getting the drop on BROTHERRRRR, and his superior piloting intuition due to being Kirby should allow him to thoroughly outmaneuver the enemy REX, exploiting its weakpoints. Further, Knuckles will be thoroughly provoked by Liquid Kirby's monologue at someone that isn't him, throwing him off his game.

Kirby has a fully functional set of vocal cords and is possessed THROUGH THIS ARM so I think he will probably go full Liquid Snake here, right down to the accent.

I do think the REX with Liquid Kirby in it has the edge. Liquid's smarter than Knuckles, and starring in Metal Gear Solid shouldn't give Knux any REX piloting experience, that would be MGS4.

Metal Gear REX is far too durable for Knux's trademark strength, punching, and digging abilities to get through. Leaving REX's cockpit would be suicidal for the Echidna.

I think relaying the deception through Tira is vital for its success, as a Knuckles who has experience from starring in Metal Gear Solid would easily see through the deception if sent directly to him as the accent would be unmistakable. However, with Tira playing interpreter to his deception Liquid Kirby will have the edge.

Kirby's best trait is that he's able to roll with pretty much any situation. Whether he's put in a suit, or an entire different dimension where he's made of yarn or a magic floating ball, he just adapts.

He can be given a brand new power he's never even imagined, and he'll still just immediately know how to use it like a pro the second he has access to it. Dude's got literally no learning curves

Also it's not a car. I think the only time Kirby's height would be an issue would be with something with foot pedals-- but I'm not sure if the REX even has these or why it would. It's probably a bunch of levers and switches where Kirby can just dance around and operate it fluently.
