Scare: Suspected by Chris for much of D1. Now Chris is dead.
Dowolf: Fighting Oddity lynch is maybe plus, but his language seemed to indicate to me he was planning to set me up after my D1 target Oddity was mislynched.

I think you have two inaccuracies. 1 SBell did take a strong stance against me. 2 Dowolf willing to lynch you makes sense. He didn't like your vote on Oddity from the start and voted you for it. So switching a lunch train to you at end of day makes sense.

None of the splinter votes really sit right to me, especially since it feels like scum was just sitting back and letting us lynch Oddity of our own accord. Of the splinter votes (excepting Oddity's, obviously), it's Pez on Death, SBell, on Red, and VI on Scare. All three of those votes were useless and allowed the popular vote to just continue to sit on Oddity.

Of those three, Pez's actions throughout this topic stick out to me. He's certainly around but never really actually participated in the things that were going on. He sprinkles in random thoughts, doesn't participate in Oddity's lynch, but also doesn't participate in anything that would put anybody else in contention. I want to start here.

(There's also the fact that confirmed town Tom and Chris both voted for him, along with plum who I'm feeling pretty good about. I can't remember their reasons for voting him; I'll have to go back and reread the first two topics in a bit, but the votals have people I trust suspicious of him so that too makes Pez feel like a good place to start.)

You didn't seem particularly in contention for lunch. I was thinking of me and Oddity re:SBell. You're misunderstanding my point re:dowolf. It's in reference to an argument I had with him shortly before deadline.

I focused on trying to convince Tom because he didn't have a vote on Oddity. I thought he would listen to me because of our past. If i got him to follow me, I'd have switched to working on Dowolf too. I was contributing IMO

You absolutely are not "fighting to stop" a lynch when you're voting for someone who isn't even in contention at the end of the day. That is some extremely weak fighting. You had multiple options that just... didn't take off because scum was fine letting (what I assume is mostly) town just mislynch Oddity. Show me where you were "actively fighting" in your, like, two posts per page (most of which were about previous topics).

The argument against Oddity was at best WIFOM. Dowolf and I realized that. We both tried to move the Lynch off of him. Dowolf was willing to go for just about anyone. I didn't want to B8 special someone. I kept my vote on Death because I think he did exactly what KBM is accusing me of.

This is as close as I can find to you "fighting" for another lynch. You said things just enough for people to notice that you were here, but you weren't doing anything active here.

Like, you're not the only person I have this problem with at the end of Day 1, but you felt like the most blatant example (and hey, you're even here now!).

You're assuming my only goal was to stop the Lynch. I out out two goals early in day 1 that are my philosophy for D1, hope we accidentally lynch scum and don't give away information if we can avoid it, e.g. don't force claim. Should I have voted LoLo? People wouldn't have voted him anymore than Death who was scummier. I suppose I could have voted Scept. But I have no idea of his alignment. I'd rather stick to my suspect. My vote is not useless just because I won't bandwagon lynch at end of day (oddity or another equally poor alternative).

Additionally, his first post today was garbage. "Lynch was town on town" is only particularly relevant in a world where there were two prominent targets on the chopping block; there weren't. Town Chris dies n1 most of the time regardless of any other factors. And he suspects me, Tails Doll.

Just got back from supper.

I pretty much passed out and slept all night after the day ended yesterday, so I'm actually able to read the topic without falling asleep now, so that's certainly a positive as far as actual retention and participation will go.

Tom, you've waffled on me a bit so far. Let's see if we can clear this up. At the beginning you thought I was kind of scummy. Midday yesterday you weren't for pushing me or Chris. This morning you thought you spotted a scum tell from last night and you thought I ignored it.

Let's start there. You claimed me slipping in politics was a scum tell to butter up the crowd. I wasn't trying to butter up the crowd. I was trying to be funny. Apparently it didn't work very well, but it was also wrong to bring in politics to this zone.

Let me tell you what my strategy has been for most of the game and then come back to exactly what I was trying to do here.

Early on I noticed something I thought Chris was setting up. Still not giving specifics. But, I realized a Scare lynch train was coming. I read Scare as town with bad reasons. So, I thought it might be a good chance to catch people jumping onto him. I watched for my biggest guts to vote Scare. Then I'd vote them instead. I was waiting for Death, Leo (who dropped off my list cause Red replaced), LoLo, Dowolf, and Phoenix. None of them voted Scare. Except Dowolf, who I think really meant to vote Scept. I no longer thought the Scare lynch was useful for me. So I tried to close it. That's the point of the post with politics. Maybe that'll help you understand that point and maybe it won't.

But you're probably more concerned at me appearing to ignore you. I don't know what to say other than not scum here. So I thought I'd show you. That's part of asking about Oddity. I wanted you to see what I saw. But I also knew I was off. And I was wrong about my read about Oddity, not about him being town but about why he was changing votes. I was pressing a little hard, because I didn't know if you had to leave for work and I knew I'd be leaving soon too. I was hoping to get a little validation before my Death vote.

I'm sorry guys, a lot of real life stuff keeps coming up. Been looking at a last minute postgrad certificate program for a while now and the interview was yesterday. Really hoping I make it in but if I don't... I'll be crushed but I guess that opens up a hell of a lot more time for mafia then. >_>

Reading yesterday, I probably would have lynched Oddity just because he actually thought I was heavily town for some reason I don't really understand (His reasoning on my statement on Phoenix was incorrect, and I pointed out to him as such) so I don't really blame you guys for lynching him. Still don't really like Scare at all.

The list is shorter than I thought, but I suppose there were only 13 players alive. That's still a super long list comparatively. Additionally those are only those that I 100% would have killed over Tom. Others (KBM,Sbell) I could have been talked into depending on how they were voting

Everyone thinks Tom is town doesn't cut it here. I never in a million years would have signed off on that kill.

Which makes me think 2 things

1. Pezloco is likely scum and was afraid of roommate powers
2. Several of Death/Red/VI are scum

I'm trying to figure out why this is relevant D1? First we just saw how wrong Chris was. But that's just one event. Except early in games almost everything I've seen from Chris has a slant to it. What I mean is, as both town and scum he lies to get you to do what he wants. Obviously scum lie, but Chris lies as town too. He does it to try to trap people or just to get reads on people. See who's willing to buy into stupid arguments or to just bandwagon. Or see who stays off the lynch to avoid looking stupid later. He'll puff you up and call you town to lower your guard. Chris is pretty much a living WIFOM. You're voting for me, but he also called me town almost all day until hedging on the Oddity lynch.
