12. Benjamin Sisko
"I am not Picard! … I have a much worse actor."

What if a captain
Hated holodeck programs
For not having racism in a 1930s recreation of a bar I'm still mad at that Jesus Christ it makes no sense that Sisko would care even a little bit about historical inaccuracies in a bar program made for the crew to kill time in between missions, in the logic of this universe racism was solved centuries before Sisko was even born, it's something no one cares about anymore and the holodeck is rarely accurate to history anyway.

Wouldn't the inverse Data be more like a Vulcan? A biological being supressing their emotions?

You'd think that. Originally in Star Trek Phase 2 (the TOS relaunch that never happened), Leonard Nimoy wouldn't return, so they invented a new Vulcan named Xon to take his place, who felt no emotions but wanted to. Xon appears in the first movie and gets randomly killed, and when TNG rolled around they retooled the concept to be Data. So in that sense, Data was meant to be the inverse of Spock, which they even comment upon in the episode where they meet.

I'm not sure how intentional it is, but the Doctor is also an inverse of Data. Both of them are artificial beings, but where Data is inhuman and wants to be more human, the Doctor is equally inhuman in design but very human psychologically and also wants to develop his humanity.

Maybe it's not a perfect inverse, but eh.

Yes. I don't remember if his name is still Xon, but he's Kirk's new science officer in the first part of the movie. He introduces himself to Kirk on Earth, says maybe three sentences (it might actually just be one), and Kirk tells him to meet him on the ship. Then later the transporter breaks while transporting him and he's turned inside out and dies screaming, and that's the last of him. Such a pointless subplot.
