Also, the first time in BB history that my most hated 3 made the final 3. God I hate this season. It's equivalent to Redemtion Island, which is my least favourite Survivor season. Vet gets in and everyone sucks his peepee until the end until they realize it's too late.
Cody, Jess, and Mark are my faves.

I've become a big fan of Rob Has A Podcast this season and listen to Taran's morning updates every day, even though this season sucks.

How's their Survivor coverage? I've tried listening to this "First One Out" series and it was really bland and uninteresting... and suddenly it switched to interviewing new players or something and I was totally unclear on who or what I was even listening to.

It's much more common for the winner of part 3 to take whomever they've faced off against in part 3 to the F2.

I think all of this data really just emphasizes how important it is to win either part 1 or part 2 of the final HoH. If you don't win either you're basically out of the running.

Australian Survivor - episode 16
Okay, there are a few editing choices here that baffle me. One, we never saw Anneliese commit to the Samatau core. It makes little sense. We also don't get why Jarrad targeted Jericho to turn on Luke - we get hints that they're not as close as they appear, but never a reason.

The only other questionable decisions in general were 1) Production starting the jury at 12, telegraphing a final 3 clearly (when it should be the same as last year - starting at 11 - to make the FTC unclear), 2) The merged tribe name being a portmanteau (it's so lazy at this point), and 3) Samatau not only excluding Michelle but Tessa outright telling her "You're on the bottom because you were the last one in" AND not asking for Locky's opinion. The Samatau group made their hierarchy very clear, which made it all the easier for the two on the bottom to flip (surprised Anneliese didn't join them, since she's 5th in that group).

Samatau's sloppy play all around is what led to them losing a core member. They constantly reminded Locky that he was on the bottom of their tribe. They had a very willing new recruit in Michelle, yet none of them felt the need to include her in the discussions. Like many prior cocky groups, their mismanagement of other players caught up with them.

This season continues to deliver and I'm very hopeful this cast continues to PLAY HARD. I expect the Asaga group to try to get rid of Tessa next (Locky and Henry know where the idols are and will insist that Tessa is the safest bet) and then something crazy to happen in the following episode, likely involving a blindside attempt and an idol. The rest will then be glorious.

Survivor AU E16:

Man, fuck you Tara and Michelle. That's really all I have to say. Tara for continuing to be unbearable, and Michelle for her entitled "include me more!" shit when she herself was the reason and wasn't shown as making any effort to include herself in those conversations. The Locky thing sort of makes sense from his perspective even though he wasn't really as on the immediate outs as he thought, and him voting for Jarrad thinking they were voting Henry when they actually voted Luke was oddly amusing if not a bit odd. It's funny because I like Luke and would have been sad if he left, it just sucks seeing people I can't stand like Tara/Michelle get their way, or think they're so clever.

Well, at least the upside is that Peter/Ziggy/Tessa/Anneliese have 2 Idols and an Idol nullifier on their side to help them get out of this hole. If Tara/Michelle go soon, then that'll be awesome because then I can at least appreciate everybody left.

First One Out is stylistically different than pretty much everything they've done before. Preseason interviews done by Josh Wigler wrapped in a serial-style narration. It's very experimental and new.

The usual stuff is just like his post-episode recaps from Big Brother. Talk banter inside jokes voice clips ding.

This is a good question. From what I can recall, Jeff was on the outs in the jock team early. He didn't really get along with Russell or Jesse. Considering their early dominance as a group and number advantage, the coup could very well have been meant for Jesse. I would say that in all likelihood, his paranoia and anxiety about twists (given what happened in BB10) plus his fooling around with both Lydia and Natalie... plus JeffxJordan (audience loves showmances) resulted in their respective popularity levels and production just rolled with it.

Also, AU Survivor ep. 16... no spoiler tags necessary, but has anyone else run into issues with only half the episode being uploaded? There are a bunch of videos available but they are all half-length :/. Is this normal at this point? Usually I watch at least a day after videos are uploaded. In this case, as of like an hour ago, all videos are like 10 hours old... all half-length (third-length of longer episodes typically broken into 2)

BB19's first act was great, but once Paul got the cult to bully Jess and Cody to get them to quit or be expelled... it became awful and never got interesting again. Thus, its great onset will be forgotten because of how unwatchable the rest of it was.

BB13 was a damn good season. I really don't get how you can look at it, compare it to the utter garbage of other vets/newbies seasons (namely BB14/BB18/BB19) or BB16, and call it the worst season ever (prior to BB19).
