It was just lying there on the pavement, lifeless. Didn't seem to have any injuries or anything. I tried nudging it with my shoe and it just rolled over. It was a cute little thing, too.

I am saddened.

Just a few weeks ago I watched a little bird run into the side of the mall, fall down dead, I had to go pick it up and put in the trash, I got ptsd now.

This is my signature, there are many others like it, but this one is mine.
If you take 110% of what I say seriously then you're gonna have a bad time.

I also saw a dead bird on the ground today. Ten seconds earlier it was alive before I shot it.

I once watched a deer die in epic fashion while on a walk. first it dived into the side of a moving truck, got up ran across the street face first into the glass front of a building smearing blood all over it. got back up ran around the building and finally dropped on its own, and two hunters seemed to materialize out of no where (they where in a blind spot where I couldn't see them at the store next door buying shit to go hunting) and they walked over pulled out a knife and slit its throat.

Well. I guess that seems like the humane thing to do at that point, though I doubt that's what they were concerned about.

they probably where concerned about that as they wasted no time in doing it. but they of course did drag it off and throw it in the back of their truck.

Nah, I'm thinking it was all about gettin' them vittles before anybody else could lay claim to it.

well idk i'm not them but as said they seemingly materialized the moment the thing hit the ground, and where their truck was, was about 40 yards away, so they covered some distance quickly.

I do wonder if something like that would count towards a hunters bag limit though, as most places I live you have a limit on how many you are allowed to kill.

Speaking of deer dying in epic fashion there's that video on Youtube of a deer getting hit by the landing gear of a plane that's going so fast that the deer vaporizes into red mist.

In slow motion you can pick out the horns popping off the head...

It has over 3 million views if you search for "deer hit by plane", skip to about 1:40

Remember on The Office when Michael went crazy over a dead bird because one of his colleagues had died earlier that day? That was funny.

Though this had nothing on the time I saw a dead animal destroyed beyond identification. I would guess it was a squirrel, but the head and tail were nowhere to be found and all you could see was a torso with the bloody spinal cord sticking way out into the air... probably the most gruesome thing I've seen in person.

A cat did that, probably. My cat decapitates his victims, which is one thing, but I can never find any remains of the skulls. Probably just eats those whole.

There was a bear that got hit by a tractor trailer at work. My dad found its head in a ditch nearby. He wanted to take it and have it taxidermied, but he didn't want to keep a decapitated bear head in his truck all day. I don't know what happened to it afterwards.

That's just gross.

I guess if he had killed it I could sort of understand doing that as a sort of commemorative trophy, but it merely got run over.
