Yeah, this is the real sticking point here. If it was "I was in a bar and some guy asked for my number!" then I'd say yeah, she's overreacting. But a TSA agent has authority over you. He shouldn't be trying to pick up chicks while he's working.

That said, this isn't a huge deal. All he did was ask for her number. He didn't say "give me your number or you're not getting on the plane". It's still bad, but pretty minor overall.

If she was uncomfortable for being asked her number she's either a stuck up bitch with a "how dare you speak to me" mentality or she has zero social skills. She's mad because the guy was in a position of authority over her. And also had the possibility to subject her to a body scan or intrusive search? I don't know, that part isn't clear and depends on where in the checkpoint the officer was.
