Naive utilitarianism like this is a horrible judge of morality/actions and is kinda the source of everything bad in this world. Beyond that, if this guy really is such a deeply empathetic helpful defender of his community like he claims, he should really try showing just 1% of that on this board. He shows exactly 0 proof that he is a good cop IRL and he has constantly defended cop abuses like murders and rapes, so how can we just throw that all away and believe him when he says "I'm so nice dudes thank me for arresting them". I'm not asking people to do that I'm just saying shitposting on a videogame board and being a decent cop are two very different things. It's like the BLM protesters that advocate for killing cops and/or assuage that all cops are shit. Life doesn't work like that. Said person took a year to report it. Then it was nothing but a barrage of a million questions concerning the incident, how she knew the rapist, etc reliving the experience every single day for months. It was horrible. At the end of it all, she wishes she didn't report it because of how traumatizing constantly reliving the worst experience of her life in excruciating details followed by constant accusations she was lying was. I absolutely understand why women don't report or take a long time to report. I don't think it is asking too much to understand why this might be the case. ....which is why I said the women who go through what you describe are courageous, not the people posting in a trend on twitter. That was my entire point. And yes I know a lot of people, men included, who have dealt with this or are still dealing with it. My church does a lot of volunteer work with addicts and the stories Ive heard are horrible. There is a huge difference between dealing with it in person and posting two words on a social media web site. --- Get the X out.
