It's like having a Ninja Turtle or a Power Ranger on the Avengers team. It's like, no, you have your team. You don't belong with this one.

I don't blame them for trying to diversify the team, but that is just such a random choice. They should have gone with Steel instead. He has a metal suit like Iron Man and a hammer like Thor without being a ripoff of either character. Plus, he made his debut when Superman temporarily ___died___ and that's the point where this movie is starting off at.

For anyone who watched Teen Titans when they were younger, it's just impossible to separate Cyborg from the rest of the group. Tell me you can look at him without wishing Starfire, Raven, and Beast Boy were there by his side.

Should've just put Martian Manhunter on the team or hell, even Hawkgirl.

JL looks like trash anyway.

I get it, it's not what you grew up with, but like he's been a solid member for awhile now

Cyborg is a great decision for the live action movie.

1. It adds a minority character.

2. He doesn't have any baggage that would interfere with justice league plots such as John Stewart / having to deal with GL Corps shit.

3. Cyborg's powers have gotten stronger over time as technology has improved, even without changing his character. As these movies move more and more towards sci-fi, having a technology oriented character like that is a huge deal.

4. His technology is related to the Motherbox which is a Darkseid tie-in.

5. He's 8 bajillion times more recognizable than Steel. Give me a fucking break with that suggestion you can't be serious. That is like bullshit on the order of "Why don't they just add Calvin Ellis?"

I look at the lineup, and can't help but think; Token black character.

But I suppose Cyborg is the only black character they could have introduced, that didn't require lengthy exposition to set up properly. Looking at you Jon Stewart. They (WB/DC) could have gradually introduced non-white characters like Marvel (who still don't have an Asian hero), but instead we will get a ham-fisted origin story in the Big Teamup movie. Three if you count Jason's Aquaman, and Not-Gustin's Flash.

Why is Batman old when Superman is beginning his career?

Because it's an adaptation. They change things to fit a movie format and to fit their cinematic universe roadmap.

Yeah. They're not streamlining the story to fit the film format. They're making it more convoluted by inserting a character who wasn't originally one of the team's members.

It does when it's all a person sees when they look at the character.

I like Cyborg. I know the cartoon show look some liberties with the Teen Titans. I know that wasn't the only lineup, nor was in the original lineup. But it did reach a larger audience than the comics ever did.

And Cyborg was the least interesting character.

I never expected to see Starfire, Raven, or Beast Boy in a live action film. Having Cyborg in a movie is a painful tease because it reaffirms their absence while giving us the least interesting character of the group. Any other character from that team would have been more welcome in a cinematic universe.

Pretty sure starting Cyborg in the Teen Titans would be significantly more convoluted for a movie.

It's only a problem if Cyborg is a founding member of Justice League. You could have a Teen Titans film and a sequel before making Cyborg a part of the other team in Justice League 3.

Welcome to Skye logic. It's the exact same thing with Spider-Man. He gets upset if it's not like the 90's animated series. He complained that the Tinkerer was a villain in Homecoming because he hadn't heard of him.
