This is such an underrated part of his media strategy. Basically, pointing out when things in society are generally running smoothly (as they generally are), and taking credit for it. A lot of politicians do this but they don't do it nearly enough. The specific comments of "life is generally good and getting better" are usually associated with intellectual stat geeks who are typically either liberal technocrats or libertarian econ-nerds.

But here Trump is associated himself with your wholesome family holiday. Smart move!

They aren't being sued for censorship, they are being sued for fraud. They claim they restrict videos based on things that aren't political. If Prager can prove they are restricting based on politics, that's fraud. And they can even point to specific damages as they have a pretty clear sample and control group of the advertising revenue they make on their own restricted vs non restricted videos.

according to you asians aren't just against discrimination against them, they support the far right because of this, completely disregarding what the effects of far right policies may be besides ending affirmative action. like, the effects may be that there's a huge increase in discrimination against women (not saying that is the case, just using this as a hypothetical) but they don't give a fuck about that. that's what makes it selfish.

this is why i said i don't support the far right despite being against affirmative action. sure, supporting them would probably be better for me, as it would increase my chances at getting accepted into AUC (the most presitigious university in amsterdam). but it would also screw over other people. if i would support them it would be the epitome of the "fuck you i got mine" mentality that characterizes the right.

Socialists epitomize "fuck you got mine" the absolute most. There is no thought put into what the real consequences of a policy are, only if it sounds nice to satisfy your liberal dreams. Any examples and anecdotes of people hurt by their precious policies are countered with "that's just a minority of people, I have never had a problem!!"

That being said, if there weren't any horribly incompetent racists in power, there would be no need for affirmative action. It only has any effect because society tolerates and encourages complete idiots who have no idea how to hire people to be in charge of hiring.

1) yes, i know you said that about people in the welfare trap but you need to be more specific. what happened exactly? why were they unable to get out of the welfare trap? "they got stuck in the welfare trap" is way too vague and you never elaborated beyond that.
2) obamacare isn't emblematic of socialism. one specific socialist doing one specific bad thing isn't an example of socialism being bad. this is like saying "an example of libertarianism being bad is christopher cantwell doing something stupid."
3a) how is war "necessary to enforce socialism"? did obama start a civil war in the US to enforce his socialism?
3b) this is another thing that is not emblematic of socialism at all. bernie is anti-war as hell.

I keep seeing this posted unironically by supporters of NN and find it hilarious. Given that the total price in the below scenario is the same as the above scenario, it is unambiguously a better outcome. It is IMPOSSIBLE to pay more, only to pay less by giving up things you don't want/need.
