- She can maintain human form for up to 12 hours a day. She maintains her ability to speak even in feline form. If she's human for 12 straight hours, she needs at least a 2 hour recovery time in her natural form before she can become human again.

- She works part time in online sales. Much of her work is done from the home utilizing talk-to-type features on her computer and making conference calls while in her natural form.

- Although she likes to go to bed as a human and wake up as a human, you can anticipate finding yourself next to a cat if you wake up in the middle of the night. No sense wasting the human hours on sleep.

I suppose she could retain her normal ears and tail in human form. You're still on the clock though. If she's a catgirl, that still counts as time spent as a human.

So in this scenario she would only have to be a cat 2 hours a day, which would most likely be while she's working. So basically no downside.

No. She has to be a cat 12 hours a day. She can go back and forth pretty much at will. I said she'd need a 2 hour recovery if she remained human for 12 hours straight.

That's what you said. If she's human for 12 hours, and only needs 2 hour recovery, what's stopping her from being human for the remaining 10 hours of the day?

She can become human again in 2 hours, but she's still gotta be a cat for 12 hours out of every day. It doesn't rollover.

If she spends the last 12 hours of a day as a human, and becomes human again for another 12 hours starting at 2:00 AM, she'll be stuck a cat from 2:00 PM until midnight.

Your 2 hour recovery thing makes no sense with what your're trying to say. If she's a human for 12 hours straight, and that's her limit for a 24 hour period, then she would need a 12 hour recovery period.

Yeah, but it's based around a 24 hour day.

Between 12:00 AM Sunday and 12:00 AM Monday, she's got gotta be a cat for at least 12 hours. The same holds true for Tuesday, Wednesday, etc.

OP: 12 hrs as human with a 2 hr recovery period, does not mention at all that she needs/must be a cat the other 12 hrs or 12 hrs at all.

The issue is not how long she spends as a cat. She is a cat. The question is how long she can spend in human form. And that cannot exceed 12 hours in a calendar day.

I also never stated that she couldn't become another animal. I don't think anyone here would read into that that she spends some time as a dog or a cockatoo.
