I think I'm nearing the end of Chapter 7. Opened Ursula (on Nia) who I am absolutely in love with and abandoned rescuing Pyra to go start her quest.

Then discovered I need Pyra to start her quest so lol me.

From some Google searching it seems Blade-Nia is broken af but I usually play as Driver-Nia so I don't think I'll be using her that much unless you all convince me otherwise?

this and the aspic have sped things up considerably

now to grind merc missions to fill out some of these nodes

also pyra is at S9 and mythra S8 LOL

It's really just personal choice. In the later portions of the game, a dedicated healer is much less necessary as more options become available.

ENDING SPOILERS NOW THAT I'VE HAD SOME TIME TO PROCESS

good ending. but i think it would have been better if pyra/mythra stayed dead...or at least they went for a more subtle happy ending. like instead of having BOTH of them show up like magic, end with the core crystal flickering green.

also i would have liked to have some kind of glimpse into the people on the titans at the end, in some form. i was kind of expecting some kind of epilogue of people setting up or well into life in elysium but it just ends kind of suddenly on that sappy (contrived?) magical reappearance of pyra/myrtha.

also they still seem to have their memories, which i guess can be explained away by aegis magic lol

still, really liked the game. solid ending, if a little too neatly tied up.

oh ya story beated

so to make sure I have this straight

Xenoblade 1 and Xenoblade 2 were taking place concurrently in different dimensions. XC2 takes place in the original world, in which Klaus re-created life after his experiment destroyed it.

Klaus lost half of his body to XC1's world which became Zanza and he died when Shulk killed Zanza. (and that's Shulk's voice you hear as he's killing Zanza)

The 3rd missing Aegis is Alvis from XC1 and was lost in an interdemensional accident (creation of XC1's world)

The Monado exists in both worlds but Malos had the one in this world

The female scientist with Klaus was who became Meyneth in XC1

Why Pyra/Mythra came back to life and were separate. Maybe the Conduit/Zohar used it's last bit of juice to replicate its existing data on them? Or maybe it was just a final gift from Klaus?

When Gramps "crossed the rift" did they simply just move below the clouds find an ocean did they cross dimensions into Shulk's new world?

Also just the appearance of the conduit/zohar in general. I feel I'd have to go back to Xenogears and refresh myself on The Zohar Modifier/Wave Existence and all that fun stuff.

Beat the game today. Kind of disliked the sappy happy ending with both of them coming back. Makes her sacrifice and Rex accepting her decision pointless.

At least that's my gut feeling.

The last boss kind of pissed me off

The first attemptI didn't realize I needed to save my chain attack for when he used Prometheus. I was just waiting for him to come back into my range and I died.

The second attempt he KO'd Rex literally seconds before he used Prometheus so I wasn't able to use chain attack and died again.

Kind of stupid to put that wall in the final boss fight but whatever.
