Having now finished the final UCA Rumble, a thought occurred to me. It was time we finish UCA on a bright note, a respectful note (funny coming from me), and most importantly, a celebratory note. We only have four more weeks until we say goodbye for good. In honor of ten years of living our own wrestling dreams, we should do what Raw did, but do it better, like we always seem to do.

I am here to announce UCA 10!

Next week, between Ruin and COMBAT, a special topic will be created, and all will be welcome. Matches and promos are welcome if people want, but to me, this concept will go beyond that.

What I envision for UCA 10 is simple: what defined UCA to you, the person, not the character. What were your best moments, best feuds, best matches, best...anything really. It's a chance to celebrate special moments, long title reigns, or feuds that means the most to us. I'm sure we have stories to tell. Alumni, current users, whomever, whatever. Share what you want, whenever you want.

The topic will be separate from the Discussion topic. Save that for your final feuds, promos, etc. UCA 10 is about you, what you want to be remembered for, and what you gained from being a part of this crazy ass promotion. If you say one thing or one million things, that's up to you.

Above all, it's our last chance to have fun.

Having now been at the top of the UCA for a time that surpasses my wildest expectations, I can now confirm that it is lonely up there. You'd think I would've been riding high after punching my ticket to Mania, but I had started to go to a very dark place. What is the point of being a king if the kingdom itself is doomed?

I watched the Rumble play out, as a cat might watch its prey struggle. I saw myself as the avatar of UCA's closure, and no mortal could stand up against what I represented. But you know what? As I watched the Rumble unfold, one man was standing tall against a sea of opponents, and that man was my good buddy Wigs. As the field narrowed, I realized something: UCA is about fun. It's about friendship. It's about coming together as a group, and pushing each other, and having a good time. Sure, it sucks that we're closing up shop soon, but UCA isn't about some sort of grand immortal legacy. I'm here, I'm at the top of my game, and I'm surrounded by both old and new friends. A month or so from now, this will all be behind us...but that's all the more reason to go out there and tear this place down one last time.

I'm sure most of you know how far back Wigs and I go. From the early days of the UCA, the No Lynch Kru have been a strong force in the tag division any time we weren't feuding. There's nobody more suitable for my final title defense, and I'm proud to be the last vote that sealed it. You've gotten a lot stronger and more active than your lurking tag division days....but I have too. Let's see who gets to be the final champion.

The absolute hardest feat to accomplish in the UCA might just be repeating as the Rumble winner. But damn, I came very close to doing it. Closer than I honestly thought, as my recent performance and training has not at all been at the peak that it was a year ago. Of course it's bitterly disappointing to lose after coming so close to winning, and although I did start to get excited thinking that I might pull off this incredible feat and go to Epopmania and close out the UCA as the UNDISPUTED HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION (deservedly so), I'm okay with it. It was another wildly entertaining Royal Rumble, which is what it's all about, and I am happy with the winner. Good job, Wigs!

Of course, a good Rumble always brings about good feuds, whether it's sparking the flame of old ones or boiling up new ones. Two men have been a thorn in my side throughout my career in the UCA, and it's really no surprise that they teamed up to eliminate me: Solio and Sultan. I would love to face both of you punks one last time, one-on-one, before Epopmania.

As for XIII, well, I don't know what to say. I suppose the impending...uh...ending of the UCA brings about time for self-reflection. What legacies will we leave when it's all said and done? I sense a bit of insecurity on XIII's end. We've always been on good terms, but something has lit a fire under his ass, and he seems to be taking things quite personal against me.

Now, I do not plan on going out with a whimper. That Rumble was amazing, and as always, it really got me going. I won't be in the main event at Epopmania, but I'm ready for an explosion.

It's been an interesting forty-eight hours; I went into the Rumble believing I could genuinely win it all, and while maybe that was wishful thinking all along, it still hurt to know that it was not meant to be.

The last thing you want to do after something like that is to dwell on things, but I'd like to think, in cases like these in the past, that introspection has gone on to bring me to new heights in the future, and one last look inward before the curtains finally close couldn't hurt, right?

The thought that stuck out to me most was of my past promos; of all the times I came out here, and spoke in a matter or on an issue that we frequently haven't seen here in the UCA, at least in my time here. It's that last point that I constantly seen replayed in my head. Not the entire sentence, no, but the very end, "at least in my time here".

It feels like every time I come out here and talk about my accomplishments, or something great that I was a part of, I've always added that final idea in, as if to confirm to myself that what I've done isn't relevant to the greater UCA lore. Mostly out of respect. I mean, I can't really stand here and talk trash about a time that I know very little about, right?

But something about those words, and the frequency in which I repeated them, made me realize that I was wrong. I am relevant. Maybe not to some - those who weren't a part of my incredible run - but to those who truly care, how could they think otherwise? Sure, my two years here is only a small portion of the ten, and sure, the "big names of the past" may not have been a part of those two years, but we've got our own big names. Guys who were here, carving their own paths, continuing to make names for themselves. When we all pack up and close shop, many will remember the fond memories of a decade past, but equally as many people will cherish the new moments created in the last twenty months. Moments as relevant as any.

If you're still listening to my ramble, I promise there is a point to all the madness. It's tough to create new memories when you've got the same fifteen guys rotating through, and in my time here, only two people have managed to break through as a beginner, carve their own path, and become successful.

The first is myself. The second? Emeraldegg.

The UCA is an old boy's club, through and through, and a look at the Rumble and tonight will confirm that theory. Yet somehow, through that staunch brotherhood, Emerald and I have still managed to become and stay relevant.

As much as the thought of a feud for a title or with the best of the past is appetizing, in my head, the only thing that makes sense is Emeraldegg and Davidponte at Epopmania, one on one. The last two great newcomers. Two men who, despite the odds, managed to succeed.

This is my match. This is how I want to see it end. In my time here, the feeling of a new feud was the best feeling of all, and new feuds only ever occurred because of Emerald and myself. It's time for the final new feud. The one to end them all.

Over the next few weeks, before a potential final showdown, I'd like to celebrate moments of my past, and moments, albeit brief, where Emerald and I have crossed paths before.

And then? Epopmania.

I feel you are being generous to me, David. You've succeeded at the highest level. I, on the other hand, could never take the Undisputed title. Perhaps it was foolish of me to think I could; it's not something that someone can just normally walk in and take, you know? Or perhaps all I needed was a little more time, and I'd have found myself on that stage one day. But alas, I fear that my reputation is more of one who kept coming close, but could never make the jump. I came close in the King of the Board. I came close in Bound for Whiskey. I came ever so close in Ultimatum. And I made my way to the Undisputed match...and failed.

When I look at you, David, I see you on a pedestal that I wasn't able to reach. You represent what I wanted. I'm sure that not just our current cast, but even the legends of old can look back at you and nod with approval. You've earned everyone's respect by slugging it out with the best of them and coming out on top. I'm jealous, really. I wanted nothing more than to earn that respect. Perhaps that was unreasonable for me to want, to earn that in such a short amount of time. But I still tried my best, and you are the one who ended up with that respect instead, and that hurts.

Even with this disappointment, though, I have no regrets about who I've been. As I did from day 1, I did things my way. I didn't waver, I didn't falter. Everytime I was knocked down, I got back up. So I'm going to follow that philosophy to the very end. I'm not going to make some meaningless last gasp effort at a title. I find measuring myself against you one last time to be far more valuable. Your challenge to me represents one last chance for me to surpass you, if only in my own eyes. I'm fully aware that even were I to win, you would be viewed as the superior wrestler, and that's okay with me. My legacy is what it is, and nothing I can do can change that now. Nothing I can do now can earn any more respect than I've earned, however much or little it may be.

So, I accept your challenge, David. And just as I've done each time before, I'm coming at you with everything I've got. You do the same, and let's show the fans what us youngbloods can do, one last time.
