Not quite sure how good it really is, though. The party IC is obviously nice, but Hastega as the third effect is kinda meh. Could be good against Ixion with his dispel spam, if nothing else.

Crystal Tower mastered-

Shinryu Celestia sucked, even through she was super easy in the T-0 event the buffed stats and character conservation made this a lot tougher, thunder breath hurts a lot and does 7 random hits so bring lighting resistance. This fight's not really so much hard it more that it's a slog waiting for that target to show up, and you're just kinda chipping away since her defenses are so high when she's flying. And don't forget to refresh wall since the fight will drag and she can kill your party if uses Thunder/fire breath when wall has run out. I still went mage for synergy on Ace, brought Kuja over Terra and Mog over OK, I wanted to save OK for a diffrent boss and Kuja's chase or whatever it is when he does Ultima after his EX modes ends pierces resistance so even though Shinryu had too much HP to kill in her fallen phase Kuja finished her off with it.

Chaos is sorta new since Dena moved the FF1 Thief event into the future, that said Vaan's BSB still did a good job pacifying him, he only has one physical attack, and he doesn't do aoe stop/slow like he did in the Matoya event. He does shoot out aoe spells frequently so I can see this fight being a lot harder without Vaan BSB. Also he resists all elements which is kinda a monkey wrench since everyone's used to USB boosted elemental attacks, Cloud with Omega Drives wrecked him pretty quick however.

Ravana is easy except for that 3 hit attack that hits really hard. I used a mage team with OK and Alph&Papalymo and made short work of him.

Odin is lol if you have a back row team. I used Bartz with a Bow and Tidus' chain with Rikku as the buff and chain assistance with the second saphire shot and made short work of him.

IMO Shinryu>Chaos>Ravana>Odin.

Looks like the FFV event lasts 3 weeks, that's pretty cool since it's a backup in case the Fest banners suck.

Still so painful that this banner had to come right before the 3rd Anniversary. Those ice/earth native boosts are so tempting.

Other people have said the same thing, but I just have zero interest in this banner because I don't give a crap about these characters. I doubt they're going to be top tier in the long run too so it seems to me it doesn't make much sense to invest a lot in them.

If the fest banners suck I'm more interested in the IX banners (the first one for overall quality, the second one for Vivi). But I'm pretty sure there will be good banners in this fest.

Even if the soul breaks get dated the native boosts will always be useful (until we get a major physical cap raise and power creep that makes stuff like 7* star relics the minimum) Earth/Ice boosting relics are very rare as well, and almost every relic on this banner has them.

ugh, i was planning on rolling on this V banner for months, did so, and only got an ice bracer in 100 mythril. ice bracer was the only thing i already had.

at least i finally got something decent from realms on parade, even if it's basically just a stat stick. Vivi OSB, which is my first mag-based rod or staff at 6*.

I dislike how his BSB2 has en-ice, effectively rendering the LMR moot after Squalls second or third turn.

This Chaos fight is utterly infuriating. The paralyze, slow, and the super fast AOE attacks in the second half of the fight just keep wrecking me. I'd adjust my team to deal with those things, except then I'd have to redo Ravana and Shinryu (and I didn't save either of those parties). This is why Crystal Tower is my least favorite content in the game.

welp i just spent the last of my mythril on Vivi's banner. two 1/11s and the first one was an off-banner Delita BSB dupe of all things (the first copy of which i just got from realms on parade <_<). but second was the Vivi USB!

now i just gotta get that LMR somehow. i wish those paid LMRs were a more reasonable price.

There's supposed to be another choice banner during the 3 year anniversary, it's gem only though. That's the one with Tyro's LM almost everyone's gonna pick.

Congrats on the USB! Probably my most wanted relic in the game right now. I'm holding out for the anniversary though which should have overall better odds (I just don't want to use Kuja at all so the banner's a trap).

I think you should be fine without the LMR, right? It kinda locks you into using TGM to be good, but without it you can just use a damage RM, or you're free to use a SB RM instead.

i wouldn't say it necessarily locks you into TGM. probably want some form of quick cast with it, but it's better even without any quick cast (except when using fire), it just makes adding quick cast that much more effective.

and yeah if it ends up being on the fest i might be kicking myself... particularly if it ends up on Yuffie's banner.
